Something is wrong with the economy in SL

Maybe it’s just the case that outside the Legendary Base Item pieces (and the few mandatory profession bonuses like weapon enchants) professions are total garbage this expansion with items that are almost never worth using, even alts aren’t worth bothering to gear wtih them, Crafters Marks holding back the only “decent” crafting items and even those would be good for just a few hours on an alt before you welfare PvP gear yourself since Honor is flowing like water out of BGs. Hilarious example is the recipe for the Crafters Mark II to make a 168 BoE is locked behind Cordial rep with Venari, you can get a weapon or any gear slot from PvP and upgrade it to 177 in a single sitting or grind Ven’ari for 2 months, HMMMM.

Once LFR opens up effectively everything crafted ceases having any use for max level characters, maybe you can eek a tier out of one of the Darkmoon deck trinkets if you only do LFR but otherwise nothing is worth it. PvP for 184 items next week or hit up LFR for similar.

crafters list the items they need for 50% of the value
people follow unlisting and listing at the 50% value, because they are dumb, and because the AH UI encourages it

these results are predictable

For some reason those missions tables ate all of my game time with the amount of alts I tried to maintain.

Right now I think professions are good with hopes to see new items being added in future patches.

I would still like to see old world items from past expansions have some need in current content.

Ie; ore, cloth, leather to still hold some value by requiring those for base items that are then upgraded through the expansions.

What if players could make their own heirloom set and start off from first making the low level item using low level materials, then those heirlooms are upgraded to the next level right up to the current expansion where they are then made ready for the next …etc.

Also remove them from the journal. Make them a part of crafting that are BOE to the character. This would bring back crafting in a huge way.

It was tempting to maintain too many alts with the gold missions and people overdid it. I think that’s what killed garrisons. Otherwise they had great features like automating your daily CDs. Much better to load up work orders once per week then to try to log in on everyone every day to do a CD.

Unfortunately there will be no new items released remainder of this expac for crafting and crafting is slowly being removed from the game by design as advertised. Blizz has been clear your focus is on raids/mythic+ and maw content.

What happens on your realm isn’t what’s happening in the whole game. On Hydraxis it isn’t uncommon to pay 60g for a single herb.

As noted, herbs are the exception to the rule. Ore is the big surprise this expac. It never used to crash this fast.

yep i do the same thing

Sad, but at least it is a clear path to inform us to not care.

But you’ll still need to craft items to make use of the stuff you get in the raids. So crafting will continue to be part of the game. I am glad they aren’t adding new herbs or new ore every patch. That was getting ridiculous. That’s one thing WoD got right, you made upgrades to the stuff you learned at the beginning, not a bunch of new stuff to deal with.

We are paying hundreds of gold for single herbs still.

And WoD is also when they introduced instant level 90s which was a windfall for scribes.

Well, once you craft the legendary, you don’t need mats anymore.

This makes sense because it allows for players to gain extra bits of power that Blizz cannot fully throttle. IMO, any enchants since WotLK have been a joke. They are still some of the most potent enchants in the game. Blizz likes being able to control how much power we have on tap so they can keep us grinding for better gear.

Link source, or you’re just scaremongering.

Ore is plentiful and I find very little to craft with it really, so mostly it goes to the AH.

You wont though, literally everyone has rank 2 and 3 of everything at this point.

I still see MB running around mining, skinning and herbing. Probably that has a huge part in it. I’ve considered making 3 new accounts just to speed up my income ingame…sigh.

I liked making gear to support the war effort in BfA. It made me feel a little more useful than someone who just goes around killing and looting. Hopefully they will add something like that to SL.

Im playing ONE character …you know how much of that I have in my reagent bank so far, lol? Thousands. Its very easy to get a ton of it. the price will never be high on it as much of it that drops.
