Out of curiosity, why are you deleting your toons?
Yeah, this was odd to me, too. And while I’ve embraced it - I just decided to go War Mode for the additional abilities/skill passives - it does seem like they could have done something for those who don’t want to be pvp flagged. Kind of like they did in the Dalaran sewers of Broken Isles: get a guard to walk around with you.
There could be an argent that can be conscripted to walk around with the player that prevents both flagging and infection.
So am I understanding right that people want the “good” parts of the event like the catch-up gear and Nathanos but they don’t want the “bad” parts because it inconveniences them or is the event bugged?
I haven’t logged in yet to check but from what I read cant you just avoid cities? Like, when I heard about this I went ahead and bought a mount where I could sell things and fully prepared to go into “hiding” for the duration because I think that’s fun to prepare and avoid but is it all over the world?
You actually brought up lore in this event? Lol you do realize that there is an entire race based on how once you become a zombie you do not come back from it?
While I understand your frustration, that is not entirely true.
Using a flight path from point A to point B drops the flag (as long as point B is not in an auto-flag area, then you’re getting it back)
Portal (either in the portal rooms, or from a mage) to a Sanctuary City (like Dalaran). You cannot be attacked there. There are banks and an AH (at least in the Northrend/Crystalsong Forest Dal). You can wait out the timer, or use the above method.
I did this on multiple alts yesterday to get out to the Argent Tourney area to do the Icecrown stuff. I don’t remember being auto-flagged on the alts in Boralus checking their mission boards, tho. That one is new to me.
The Silver Enclave: there is a duplicate of Brassbolt Mechawrench that sits in the building atop the Silver Enclave. (From the wiki: Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Now also appears in The Silver Enclave. No longer engineer-only. )
The lore is that the mindless scourge is going out of control due to the shattering of the helm of domination.
The forsaken are the undead who have enough willpower to resist the base instincts of the scourge and are able to free themselves from the helms grasp.
I get it, the minor difference there is hard to figure out if you don’t do lore at all. You need to understand that the coming back from it part literally is a game mechanic and that’s it. They centralized where everything is happening to two regions (SW and Org) when in fact it should be happening literally everywhere for game reasons as well.
IDK what to tell you other than there are great RPG reasons for the invasion event to take place so if you don’t like it use one of the plethora of ways to avoid it
No, the lore is that once a person becomes undead it is over. Also lol at “great lore reasons” when there is one minor scourge strong hold in Kalimdor and nothing anywhere near Stormwind. Also the small detail that the plague of undeath should only be raising humans.
omg! game mechanics are a thing! Who would have thought that the game mechanics and design would prevent certain things from happening because obvious reasons!
Seriously, the event is designed to reinforce the lore. Stop being pedantic about some minor inconsistency in a video game
Great! I’m glad that you literally can’t read as well considering I’ve literally refuted everything you said about it with the point being ‘game mechanics’. Nice troll! Keep it up!
The zombie invasion is the most fun ive had in a while. Its not as fun to die to a swarm of them but it is very fun to be part of the swarm ganking everyone that comes into town.
theres scourge in southern kalimdor, theres scourge in duskwood/karazan regions. There are literal necromancers looking to spread the plague and undeath that exist? It’s really not hard to figure this out…
Please continue trying to ‘incite’ me or troll me? I love feeding people like you
