Thaaaaat’s weird because mine is still level 1
This is truly ridiculous, I have only level 1 pets and drone now is level 2… awk enough that I can’t defeat a level 2 npc with 2 level 1s and one level 2… that is sad cuz I don’t plod pet battle but collecting mounts… blizz really needs to improve this, will be super sad if I see that I still get the same damn quest again today, alrdy abandoned yesterdays quest
Can you do that quest without putting your drone pet in battle?
That’s how it has been since MoP. You didn’t think things through very well, you don’t get to mythic raid without leveling a character up.
You need to have the pet on the team but it does not have to be used. Make it your third pet and use the first two pets to beat the battle. If you never use your pet it will not level.
What would be the best two pet combo to beat these fights? I just did the part where I had to fight mobs with it out for the first time.

I didn’t get another quest until I completed the kill ‘x’ things one. The same thing came up the next day for me.
I would actually be really surprised if everyone had the same dailies for those because people start that at different times. I think it is a individual progression questline.
Yes but it is alrdy at level 2, when I include it to the battle, the NPC automatically scale to lvl 2 ffs
I used Ikky + fel flame.
Ikky first - Black Claw → Flock (eventually eats the stun and dies during Flock)
Fel Flame → Scorched Earth → Flame Breath x2. (only took me one due to a crit)

Gorebrew, my Monk, we’ve had battle pets for 7 years, 5 months, 2 weeks and a day. 2,724 days of battle pets. If you got 1 level every 100 days, which is a very generous amount of time to get 1 level I should say, you’d have a battle pet at L25 by now.
There’s really no excuse for this.

For Retinus? Unborn Val’kyr - Zandalari Kneebiter or whatever that little dino is called - Reginald. Do one shadowstrike-doom-possess. Bring in the dino, dark claw, pack attack or whatever it’s called, finish off with 1-3 attacks from Reginald. If you got 180 pet charms, you can buy 3 tokens and boost all three to level 25. There are guides for finding the pets I mentioned.
I’m really not even into pet battling that much. I’ve never been good at memorizing the rock-paper-scissors aspects of Pokemon style games, but there are a ton of helpful guides out there on youtube and such that give you the easy routes.

You dont need level 25 pets for that quest. Only need pets the same level as the shadowbarb since the quest scales to the level of the pets you slot.

Not true, I completed the quest in one round with level 4 pets.
Leveling pets to 25 doesn’t take that long.
