You make it sound like you believe layers are static and you will be locked to you layer. You also act like 1 layer will be full of all these things then the next layer will be lifeless and devoid of “Classic” only used for the purpose of manipulation.
This right here is EXACTLY what I mean. Go ahead and try this when Classic launched. I 100% guarantee each layer will have people in that arena. If you think 9 layers will be void of people going for that chest you are clueless.
Ristra, you keep trying to defend something that’s been proven to be horribly, horribly abused. It’s not going to suddenly stop being abused when Classic launches. It will, in fact, be even worse. Blizzard needs to put some serious restrictions on layer hopping.

Should have just had classic run on its own subscription and hired a staff to service just those realms. Increase the number of servers based on subscription numbers and be done with it. Although then they would have some explaining to do if the subscriptions numbers from classic were higher then retail. I prefer later server merges (if warranted) like the days of old over this current system.
It would be devoid of that guild that’s on my server, guarding the location I was talking about. Read the whole statement. I’m starting to think you never had the chance to play on a server with a legitimate community, and I hope you get that chance in classic.
Again, why don’t you read the whole post next time? As I said before, why do we need to depend on players being there, when there could easily be a fix so we wouldn’t have to? Nice of you to resort to insults though!
Have a good night bud.
I meant as a way to report it, not a literal bug.
Its not just a low level trinket you can get probably some gold per contents in the chest.
And with layering like this someone could bloat up on game breaking amounts of resources that are usually limited 1 per realm.

Farming dark iron ore would be another example.
Mine, switch layers, mine some more, switch layers, etc.
Here’s the problem with your whole premise.
1 guild locking down an area does not lock down that area on all layers. Just as a guild on a different server does not lock down an area on all servers.
The expectation of access to all players on all layers is wildly excessive.
There will be multiple layers. That means multiple guilds locking down areas. They may not lock down the same areas or be the same people. The lock downs will happen though.
So the attempt here is to convince people that there is this magic layer hopping method that maximizes player advantage. When that’s actually impossible to know.
Layer hopping is just as likely to land a player into disadvantages
