Someone already has arena master on the stress test

ITS A STRESS TEST.
They are testing layering TESTING

ive seen that twilight zone episode, spooky indeed

And people wonder why other people don’t like sharding.

Right, but isn’t the point of a forum to provide community feedback on said testing?

What’s the point of a beta/stress test if you don’t want feedback, positive or negative?

You are correct ill take my leave to the other layering forums.

Never thought I’d say this
but their proposed sharding plan was better than layering.

Whatever it takes to not have dead realms and only paid server transfers. I don’t want to be on a realm with 10 people on at peak because it was the most touristy of the PVP servers.

I suspect that the number of layers is dependent on the number of players present on the server.

I’ve been on Realm 3 Alliance side, and most areas I’ve been in are ghost towns. Maybe one or two people. Do a /who and there are 50. Huh??? Even Stormwind is empty.

Rather than ruining server communities with layers and shards, Blizzard use to offer free character migrations on servers with population issues! I miss that Blizzard.

Yeah. I ain’t counting on free character transfers or migrations. So, again, since I don’t want to play on a dead realm, I’d rather have less realms and a few months of sharding/layering.

I’m sorry it is bothersome to people, but I shouldn’t have to pay extra money to play on a medium to high pop realm, when the realm I chose ended up being one of many dead servers that can’t get the war effort done, because it was touristy.

Absolutely the wrong stance to take.

While we have had forum compatriots telling people to ‘relax, blizz is still testing’ for 15+ years, I don’t think blizz has veered course even 15 times. If anything, blizz tends to double down. So based on past experience, they will probably increase layering.

Then your a fool.

With 6 phases and layering in for only a couple of weeks you will end up with dead realms. Layering is no guarantee that your server will still be full in 12 months from launch.

No one is making you pay extra money, bud. People just want to play classic, the way it was, back when servers had communities and such.

They’re also supposedly removing layering before the war effort, so I hope you chose the right server!

If you have heard, Blizzard has a reason. They believe there will be a drop in server population. Due to tourism. They will not be ignoring this to end up with dead servers. Dead servers are more detrimental than layering ever could be.

Oh, and, “the majority of Classic players” you really going to speak for all those people?

Well, I’m assuming the majority of those returning to play classic wow, want it to function like it use to, yes.

If layering ends weeks/months in, how does this save dead servers?

Blizzard, please fix.

Because it is a known fact that vanilla has a leveling wall. Many people will quit by level 40.

Oh, don’t ya know, layering is awesome! I mean, how could anyone be against layering? It solves sooooo many problems!

I gotta say it was so fun just now on pvp server realm 3 being in a raid with over thirty other people making our way to SW to raid alliance. It was so fun to get there and not see any alliance! It was such a blast standing outside of the gates of SW talking in raid chat hoping some lone ally out there somewhere would see us and form a counter raid. Who knows, maybe they did. But on a different layer!

It was so cool to wander into Northshire Valley and literally not see one single ally player, literally not one.

Thank you Blizzard for giving us this awesome technology to make the game so much more engaging. Thank you for taking the pvp out of a pvp server and giving us dead layers on a high pop pvp server. I have to say it’s the most fun I have had in years!

/S!
