I find it funny that you also assume I’m bad because I don’t use your beloved addon. It is telling that you can’t think for yourself and require an addon to be considered, “good”. There are many addons that assist in different ways. Most of which make the game easier, say hello to BFA. I for one did not need them to complete challenges.
I answered this in another post in this thread.
To add to this: I feel the community is more intolerable because of it. It’s especially detrimental where communicating with others is a thing.
No I called you bad for wanting to ban a tool that helps you improve and without it you are not performing to the best of your ability so ya I do think people who dont use dmg meters are bad.
Lots of people use knives to commit crimes no one is calling for a ban on knives.
How about.
You don’t use AH addons
You don’t use questie and azeroth auto pilot
You don’t use .io and gearscore
You don’t use group matcher wfdokns
You don’t use auto downranked spell add-ons
Not everyone is playing classic for nostalgia or because it’s hard. For people who played PSs it’s going to be a joke. My guild has been looking at numbers from the beta and we’re already planning the entire game out.
Some people want to get every single possible thing they can out of the game while automating things that are tedious-Me
Some people wanna handicap themselves to relive the old school mmo feel-you.
Both opinions are valid and people should be able to play how they want. That’s why nobody wants blizzard to add these features by default. Because the people who are going to use them understand that some people don’t want them.
To change the meaning at your convenience is a little weak, since you called me “Bad” two different times in your post. Each time an assumption of my skills and my character.
Once because it is “good to know”
The other for not seeing how damage meters are useful.
YET you STILL contradict yourself by saying:
Perhaps you should define what you think bad means in the context instead of what you think it means in your fantasy?
The game right now is so simple in how you play your class, that using a damage meter is laughable. You will require it in Classic if you can’t handle current content without it. Though I found that floor indicators were an interesting way to change how a fight would play out. Much of the old content, was stand there until it dies. Oh don’t stand in the fire!
Damage meteres may have it’s uses but it’s a detriment to the games community. You have proven this with your responses.
The cooldown on the boss’ ability, it was every 40 seconds from memory, and the curse itself was to lengthen cast times by 100%. It was not enough to simply let druids do it. Decursive was taken away which simply gave rise to healbot style addons. Point being that I do recall many guilds struggling with Luci, just because you didn’t, doesn’t mean it wasn’t a reality. My own guild cascaded Rag, so we never had such problems. I do recall helping a guild and having to ask for a decurse because I couldn’t heal.
Aye, sorry was a bit ‘punchy’ yesterday lack of sleep and overworked, didn’t mean to come off so antagonistic. We never had much trouble but maybe we just got lucky having a lot of mages and they paid attention to decursing.
