That makes sense.
Correct me if I’m wrong but at some point I recall a site that was talking about what would or will happen if Microsoft acquired Blizzard… They (whom ever wrote the article) said that the landscape along with other parts of wow could change. The other day while in retail, I noticed a crispness to the world even though I’m running the game at a video setting of level 2. As you’ve said these zones look slightly different but not like the screen shots you’ve posted above… and this is good to see. I suspect that these types of changes will take place over time and will happen gradually or even while you’re in the world.
I spend a lot of time leveling alts in Silverpine retail, I wish it looked half as good as those Silverpine classic images you posted.
Any changes as a result of Microsoft won’t happen until Midnight at the earliest. TWW is pretty locked-in as far as design.
Nostalgia… its a helluva drug.
I didn’t understand, did you feel that the maps are changing, becoming sharper?
yes and I pointed this out to my wife. After noticing this, I told her, something looks different about the world and the surrounds… Retail has allowed for environmental changes like rain in Stormwind etc.
