Not like Classic and TBCC had a lot of story to offer, compared to wrath and other expansions after that. Yes you can argue that classic and TBCC had a story, but the reality is the story is locked if you can’t do it.
Not really. You got the entire story prior to any raid. There is no story that happened in Onyxia’s Lair, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair (okay had some), AQ40. AQ20, ZG, and Naxx. Their story happened outside of the raid and it generally is what we end up going into them in the first place.
Story didn’t really start happening in raids until Wrath.
Either way. Classic sets up the context for the entirety of WoW. The characters that are still relevant start there. It is huge. We as warcraft players take it for granted. Take someone who loves RPGs and lore, but has never played anything related to warcraft and doesn’t know it story and through them into retail. They will be confused as hell because it doesn’t make sense. They jump in at the middle of the story and then jump around the timeline without any context for what is happening.
Hell I still champion that there should be more CoT dungeons for the other important events from Warcraft 1-3 for this very reason.
… and I’ve gone on a tangent. Anyway, my point is that raids were the outcome of the story. You get lead to the raids and from there you know the bad guy you know is inside is defeated. Sure you don’t see this old god or powerful lich but you know they were defeated.
By hey my redesign had you doing those raids at least once.
Boomers ruined wow. They have “lives” and disposable income. They dont have time to actually play the game so just swipe their 401ks and savings.
People with kids should not play this game. Go enjoy your family.

I miss doing GDKPs in classic, gave the game some life on days off. Everyone complaining about them like they just appeared last week…did you guys even play between AQ40-TBC prepatch?

This is ridiculous. Disposable income has nothing to do with it.
The other side of this is feeling the need to have elite pixels because that somehow matters.
Go enjoy the game the way you want … but if you feel like you need a trophy for the sake of having a trophy… The economy thanks you for your donations.
