I’ve been testing the Devourer spec and absolutely love the overall concept. But visually, a few of the ability icons feel and skills feels off. Some seem reused from older classes or just too generic for what’s supposed to be a completely new, Void-infused specialization.
Consume feels underwhelming both in visuals and audio. The effect is flat, the sound doesn’t convey any real “void energy” or power, and overall, it feels like a placeholder ability. For a spell that literally represents feeding on the Void, it should look and sound far more distinct — something darker, more unstable, maybe even with a brief distortion or pull-in effect when it hits.
Also, the defensive Blur still uses the green Havoc visual. That completely breaks the visual identity of the spec. Since Devourer is themed around the Void, Blur should clearly reflect that — a bluish or violet version, maybe with a faint void shimmer or distortion, would fit the fantasy perfectly.
Finally, the Void Meteors look too “purple” in the Shadow Priest sense, rather than cosmic or void-infused. They should feel like fragments of the Void tearing through reality — darker, colder, more astral and less magical-purple. Right now they look more like something a Priest would cast than a Void-corrupted Demon Hunter.
It’s not a gameplay issue, of course, but it does break the immersion a bit. A few redesigned icons with darker, distorted, or “void-corrupted” elements could make the spec feel more cohesive and unique overall.
Has anyone else noticed this with other devourer abilities?
