[SOLVED] Help me fix something I broke please

So a while back I was messing around with my macros and, long story short, I edited a text file in the WoW folder where macro commands are stored, and now the game will only remember macros I have in the character specific macro tab instead of the general macro tab that applies to all characters.

I don’t even remember what it is I edited and screwed up, and I really do not want to have to try and do a full UI reset because that will cause me more problems than it fixes.

Any ideas?

EDIT - FIXED… reset this, tinkered with that, prayed to Yogg, all is miraculously ok now.

Check that you didn’t make the account level macros-cache.txt file read-only.

I believe by default macros are synchronized to the server. Exit wow, rename the file, then restart wow, edit 1 of your global macros (like add a space or whatever) and save it. Then exit wow.

Wow should recreate the file.
