I’ll be honest, i am mediocre at best. I’ve played a lot of hours of PVP in Solo Shuffle and got to the point were i don’t die or die very rarelyl however, concerning the rating gates: there is always 1 or 2 players that are getting tunneled, hard… this makes the end of round 6 predictable with the following outcomes: 2/4, 3/3, or 4/2. In short there is no way to progress from combatant tiers to challenger due to “being stuck in with the learning curve.” What is the point of PVP anymore? Being stuck in the pug life where you are forever linked with just learning players? Can one player be expected to 5/1 most matches? IDK man, but I’m seriously disheartened by the MMR and pug RNG selection process. I know i sucked at first, all do, but being forever stuck in with a new/just learning base creates an impossibility to earn rating.
I play in the brackets with a lot of average players or players brand new to RSS or multi-glads on alts.
There are definitely rounds where I lose because someone ran off in a really awkward direction or behind a pillar or they didn’t press important buttons.
Sometimes, it does feel like you hit a plateau where your win/loss is dependent on other players’ random mistakes.
It’s impossible because you belong at that mmr. Not trying to be toxic that’s just the truth.

yea, and i don’t mind new players learning, i just want my improvements to be calculated into the scheme of rating somehow… activity, dps improve, cc’s laid out vs before
I think 300 and 200 games with a 44% wr might mean that they haven’t quite fallen to where they need to be.
Thanks, i know you’re being non-toxic and my point is simple: if i improve in areas of gameplay, why am i penalized by the mistakes or failing of others? 2/4, 3/3, or 4/2 outcomes can not be changed when new players are tunneled. With those outcomes, how does rating change?
If the new players are being tunneled instead of you, it’s your job to absolutely take control of the game. I don’t know what spec of warlock you play, but each and every one is a giant threat left alone to take control.
I think the trick to climbing the ladder (besides playing DPS instead of healer) (besides getting markedly elite better) is to realize that your rating will kinda oscillate around a certain rating depending on your lobbies.
When you finally get a random lobby that’s awesome for your spec, you really need to go 5-1 or 6-0. That will give you a lot of rating in one go.
For the same reason you’re rewarded for picking somebody off when they’re on the other team; it’s a team game.

There’s gonna be a lot of games out of your control. This is the nature of every solo queue game in the world.
You are also the common denominator of all your games
If you have played hundreds of games you are in he mmr range you belong at.
Just kill the enemy team dude. You probably aren’t doing close to max damage on any of the specs you play nor using your cc in an impactful way.
Whenever I did placements on feral and boomkin at 1600mmr I would instantly win every round in the opener with incarn because people didn’t know how to react to burst and would trinket things they didn’t need to which allowed me to crowd control them on their burst and go 5-1 or 6-0 most lobbies.
As warlock you hav the tools to COMPLETELY solo carry the game if left free.
Demo should be 4 set iirc
Yeah, like 2pc sort of weak, I think, but 10% more grimoire damage and 10% from all your demons when it’s up really plays into your galaxy damage tyrant window that’ll just kind of like kill people through wall.
sigh, okay, I guess i need to go back to farming ore in the wetlands… I ain’t bursting good and maybe i just suck and blame others… okay, i’ll figure something out.
