Solo shuffle is amazing

Solo shuffle has been getting a lot of hate lately, but let’s look at the glass half full for a change.

  • can queue for it anytime you want without needing to coordinate with others or play a meta spec,
  • relatively easy path to elite for casuals that are willing to put in some effort,
  • great comp diversity can be refreshing compared to facing the same handful of meta comps over and over,
  • easy to get your alts fully geared the moment they hit max level if you play a healer,
  • nice supplemental gold income if you play a healer,
  • no disadvantage for not using voice communication, and
  • virtually no win trading, boosting, or cheating, especially in the 1400-1800 mmr range :stuck_out_tongue:

All shuffle really needs now is a unique Legend mount, juiced healer rewards to get queue times down, and the removal of lay on hands from ret paladins.

You need contact lens i guess.

True, shuffle is rly underappreciated. Made 2.4m gold last season, and the only reason I ever got glad last season was because of networking with people last expansion that got hyped enough on the galactic gladiator drakes that they dragged me to do 3s with them. I have a number of people on btag that I just shoot the shoe with over lobbies.

This is probably the #1 reason why shuffle is BiS game mode.

im fine with shuffle i just hate the rnd healer what starting to flame me while using ps at 10% hp

hope one day we have healer bots on a korea level

i like shuffle since midnight, didnt liked it that much in the past because of the pacing

true for that range but wintrades are not uncommon above 2300

i agree that solo shuffle is underappreciated. we wanted it for years.

the only thing really holding it back, imo, are the que times.

They are uncommon still.

common enough to be noticeable/have the big pvp streamers complain about it

Nah. Not common. Not that I watch much, but the only cheating I have seen with any level of consistency was some botting, and even that has been pretty rare. Wintrading happens more in Blitz, not shuffle. The ONLY time I noticed anything suspicious was at title ranges, and that’s still near the end of the season. The majority of the season none of these shenanigans are going on.

Afking rounds with a streamer isn’t really a wintrade.

I had the opposite experience

Much easier to get top of ladder or within swinging distance of title in blitz without any ability

You didn’t.

The win trading is mostly a blitz thing because of the ease of which players can do it with duo and tank queues. This makes targeting another player actually reasonable. Sitting in queue for 10-20 minutes in the hopes that it pops at the same time as someone else ALL just to win a few rounds is just a ridiculous scenario. So they get todo it one time before they would have to find another character in the same range and repeat the same process. Possibly hours just to get a single set of wins in.

There is NO simple method of queueing into another player in shuffle. The only time this starts to make any sense at all is at the higest ranges. Even then their still doing it at the early hours of the morning.

Same goes for 3s. Late season. Early morning hours usually. Same process that has been going on since BC.

it starts around 2400 mmr

Just a random place.

My guy, it’s not happening like you think it is. That said, explain to me how they are doing it if you strongly believe it. I just gave you the reasons it’s not, but if you want to showcase otherwise, have at it.

There is no method to target another player outside of random queues. WHY in the world would you waste so much time when a pilot or remote pilot does the same thing with NO wasted time and 10x the speed. Yea? Why go through so much effort for so little? Every win someone gets they would have to to have ANOTHER character in the same MMR range.

Do you know what that means? The person taking the loss would then have to farm out the wins to bring their MMR back up, but in shuffle, there is NO guarantee of that, even for the best players. It’s absolutely asinine this has to be explained.

It’s not happening so much that half the European shuffle ladder got banned for it

Also realizing I can’t link the video so put this into YouTube: "
Blatant Win Traders Are Ruining Midnight PvP…" from Venruki, posted 2 months ago.

So you make no attempt to explain anything and just double down.

Yes, I have seen the video. The very first example is at… wait for it… 2900.

So getting into title spot range. Like I said.

Surely you realize the problem in saying “it doesn’t happen, if it does explain it mechanically” while also pointing out that it does happen in certain ranges? They’re mutually exclusive. Either it’s mechanically possible or it isn’t.

And I’m sure it’s just coincidence that after cracking down on wintrading, a ton of players got banned. Surely that’s indicative of it not being a thing that happens.

Boy oh boy, I explained that.

If you want to not read what I post and still reply, so be it, but title range and “it’s happening at 2400” are miles apart.

Look dude, cheating has ruined the game for me and it does happen, but not knowing how it happens just creates useless noise and doesn’t help the problem.

you haven’t actually explained how it doesn’t happened at 2400 other than asserting that it only happens at 2900. in fact, your explanation only points to why wintrading is mechanically difficult/impossible/not worth it. but by your own admission, it’s a thing that happens.

maybe i’m just not smart enough to have understood. that’s a distint possibility. I’m all ears for why it mechanically can’t happen at 2400 despite it happening at 2900.

regardless, it’s a thing that happens in solo shuffle, and it happens enough for the people at the top to notice. idk why that’s so controversial a statement. nor should it be controversial that so many EU players got banned for it. 2900 is r1 territory, no? were all those players who got banned r1 range? seems unlikely but hey, maybe that info exists somewhere
