Solo Shuffle Favoring the DPS?

But that’s what I’m really talking about. Long-term, structural problems that might see Solo Shuffle dry up before the first major patch.

I don’t know if it will ever dry up. Some people are too scared to go into lfg. In its current iteration though there is definitely a bit of a weird issue with it in that sense.

Still if you go 3-3 as a healer 9 games out of 10 but you manage to eek out a 4-2 one game out of ten you’ll climb. Then eventually it will be everyone is geared and somewhat even skilled and you’ll be able to impact your games more. You just can’t impact your games now because one super undergeared dps will just lose every game. That won’t be a thing once MMR and rated comes into effect.

It’s because if you’re DPS you can play with both healers where as if you’re a healer and the other healer massively overgears you or is much more skilled, you’re likely to lose all 6 matches since the biggest influence on a match is the healer.

Right, but people keep missing the structural problem. We’re not struggling for DPS in PVP. We’re struggling for healers.

If this solo system puts healers at a disadvantage, the system will suffer from low participation.

The upside to this solo shuffle is that you are much more in control as compared to joining random bgs.

In solo, you might have one undergeared dps as compared 0-4 undergeared dps in a 10 man bgs depending how lucky/unlucky you are.

Additionally, matches are over quite fast as your dps more or less 90% of the time knows how to target the undergeared.

Compare that to a bg where as a healer you gotta rely on 9 others to focus on objectives, escort fc and hopefully knows how to kill efc (Its too much to expect decent results from working with several people that you’ve never met and theres no voice comms in randoms too…).

Not many people like solo shuffles but the way I see it, the pros outweight the cons

Yes, assuming you have games when you alienate the healers.

Maybe to get more games going, they could dangle some rewards specifically for healers and tanks, for example heroic 5 man’s.

Blizz could consider adding that to cut down que times. Right now the que times as dps is horrible whereas for healers, the max duration I had to wait is maybe 1 minute.

They probably should. Unless you’re undergeared - which is going to be pretty hard in DF with both rankings, a gear minimum, and only 2 sets of PVP gear - the game favors the DPS.

And the only reason I wait as a healer is because someone doesn’t accept the queue.

I just leveled my druid and healing is not fun with a pvp ilvl of ~240. If the other healer is more geared it often just ends up with me not getting enough wins to count as a victory. The only way a dps has the same chance of going 0-6 is if they have like 30k hp and are the target every round.
