I haven’t trolled anything. God forbid someone disagrees with you, huh? That’s trolling to you? And I’m pretty sure I’ve only been in two of your threads. High Elves, though? Really?
Aw, you looked at my logs - Did you by any chance see what I was replying to? I bet you didn’t!
Again, really? How… original
Public forums. I’m free to give my opinions just as you are to spout yours. Nobody’s forcing you to reply or even read them. If you don’t like it, ignore me.
Yup! All I do is come up with great suggestions. Back in the day when Everquest was in beta, I proposed they allow necromancers to summon players dead corpses and that was added to the game. I wish I had programing skills to make my own game but now that I’m close to retirement age all I can do is offer the goods to the people with the skill to make it happen
Lol. I’m all for lifting race restrictions on Classes in SoD, so yeah, go nuts lol
You are trolling because you never actually have an opinion or any useful input. Most of the time it’s just vapid drivel barely related to the topic. Then you go into what you think are snappy comebacks that only make you look stupid. As for High Elves, yes, I’ve been calling for High Elves since the game was in beta testing.
It’s a fun suggestion but also a very expensive suggestion. Almost everything in SoD is really cheap to implement. It’s just using existing resources in different ways with some recolors. Adding new races would be multiple times more development than anything else in SoD
Not at all. It’s actually no cost at all considering that the files are all there and the runes probably cost more than adding them in. All they’d need to do is access the High Elf files from the Dalaran models and make them playable. It’s already all done. It’d be nice to add the grandmarshal plate helm eye glow to them, which would also be easy - but if they’re feeling really lazy, they can just stick to the Dalaran models. Problem solved.
Same thing with Ogres, they’re all there and easily added. I know guys who could do this in two nights work. It’s not complicated at all.
Now if this were Retail, sure, it’d take more effort and cost, because then they’d need their own starting zones, campaigns and stories - which I’d absolutely love to have, but here in SoD, it’s just for fun, so they could have earnable by quests and start off in simple zones like Elwynn or Durotar.
Other way around. Blood Elves are the renamed High Elves, and High Elves should have been Alliance, while Blood Elves were a small group of Elves under Kael’s command who all went to Outland. At least in the Warcraft III lore. They changed things up for convenience and shock value. To give the Horde a pretty race, then they neglected them ever since. So yeah, not stopping.
Besides, why object a little of fun. Gnolls for Horde would make sense. Hell, lets get a 3rd faction with neutral races teaming up.
Definitely! I always thought should have either been added in TBC (if not Ogres). Such a great foil for the Alliance Gnomes. Not to mention, Engineering is at its best in classic, so the Horde really needs Goblins!
Murlocs, they have been out side Stormwind for so long and have been beaten up by, and have beaten up so many of new Alliance characters. They would be a shoe in for a new Alliance race
I also completely reject the idea of murlocs being a playable race- the bare minimum for a race to be playable by players should be that race being capable of learning the common language for either horde or alliance which murlocs fail to do.
It sounds like these are just joke races you proposed, but on the chance you are serious the racials are way overpowered. Why is “Giant” straight up better than Tauren “Endurance”?
Because Orges are better! Joking, it’s because Tauren have more an better traits. Ogres only got 3 that could do anything and the Fart move isn’t all that powerful next to Tauren Stomp.
They already made that mistake last time, I’d rather not see that again. It never made any sense in the first place and most Horde hated it because Blood Elves broke the Horde theme and stuck out like a sore thumb. Why would Elves suddenly forget how to speak common and start primarily speaking Orcish?? It was stupid.
That’s why I said feel free to add your own suggestions. Might wanna do that instead of complaining.
All the more reason to have them lol. I’ve always wanted High Elves in the game, especially with racials that suit them. Arcane Torrent never made sense. They’re supposed to be a caster and Ranger race, yet Blood Elves have a melee ranged racial ability. One that got nerfed into being completely useless.
Instead of High Elves for Alliance, I would be more than happy with Murloc as a playable race I could settle with Furbolg too as that might make a little more sense. But Murloc is the dream.
Why not have both? Have a Naga faction with Murlocs and Satyrs as additional races. Murlocs serve the Naga, after all. Gnolls could be their cannon fodder race along with the Murlocs.
High Elves and Draenei for the Alliance and Ogres and Goblins for the Horde.
I also am someone who doesn’t understand why Blood Elves joined the horde. Oh, look a ton of Undead came and murdered most of us and destroyed our city. Oh look Undead on our borders, let’s be besties. I feel like the trauma of having most of your population wiped out by Undead would prevail even if these Undead were pretending to be nice.
If we did get High Elves I hope they wouldn’t share the same animation as Blood Elves, I don’t know about anyone else but I think they are a bit weird.
