Painsmith and Roh-Kalo are really the only ones that’ll give pause. All the other mechanics are pretty easy
I loved the Painsmith fight, but only got a few shots a Roh-Kalo.
I agree that the rest of the mechanics are familiar.
I don’t think it matters. The game is an adverse selection spiral now. If the complexity gets too hard for people they will just leave, or do something else in game. I think this has been going on for years.
The people that are not able to do the mechanics were winnowed from the player base a long time ago. If the mechanics get harder that selecting process will just accelerate.
Never look at the whole of a fight initially. Look at your role and go pull for experience. Nothing beats experience, and your entire raid needs some. We don’t even have a full kit of timers, and I’ve cleared 10N and 7H, so far.
I do like that tanks have more responsibility this tier, since it was a dull job otherwise.
The thing I really dislike is everything is tuned around 20 players. Flex raiding is great because we never have to bench players for normal/heroic, but they need to rethink how it scales down to 10-man. Mechanics often hit 3-4 people regardless of raid size and in a small raid the mechanics can be nonstop. A fight that’s fun in a 20 or 25-man flex can be grueling in a 10-man.
I enjoy the heavy mechanics. It’s something new and challenging.
