Just tried to turn in “Jarl Needs a Blade” but the devs didn’t bother to update the item id from the questgiver. So he is asking for a version of the sword that it is impossible to get in SoD due to it being overwritten by this new item with a different ID.
This is kind of pathetic and I don’t see why it’s just been left this way (I think most SoD players have a good idea cough cata cough)
There was an older post about this that ended about 2 weeks ago with someone saying the new items were being accepted. When did you pick up this quest?
Just tried to do this today. I crafted the blade this morning. From what I’ve read some people have found p1 patterns, but I haven’t found any claiming to be able to turn in the new version.
I put in a ticket but it’s probably futile lol. More likely have to find the p1 version of the pattern somewhere

It’s odd because I tried to turn it in earlier and could not. Not sure why its working for some but not me, because he will not accept the new blade from me
Did you accept the quest today? If not, can you abandon and reaccept?
There are two versions of the quest,

I just accepted the quest on SoD and can confirm it’s 81570, the new version that expects a Moonsteel Broadsword with Healing on it:

You can check which version is in your log by typing /dump C_QuestLog.IsOnQuest(81570)
Thank you for this. I think the issue was that I probably had the old version in my log for the longest time, because even when I when back he was asking for the old blade. I had to drop the quest and pick it up again and then I was able to turn in the sword.
