SOD -- Introduce the Monk Class?

I do not believe the pinnacle of cutting edge players of classic wow could handle 2 more keybinds. Maybe give it another 20 years before an entire class is added.

I like Monks. They are the only reason I ever consider playing retail.

I think they could just give it mana across the board instead of energy. And it probably cant have bith flying kick and 2 stacks of roll.

The problem with monk is that they have no useless abilities like almost every class in classic does.

I have made multiple posts about bringing in other classes from retail
they get flagged constantly


Why 
cause classic Andy’s think SOD is still classic and would be butt hurt too much for them to see retail stuff in"their game".

Blizzard needs to wipe their back side with classic Andy’s and QUIT LISTENING TO THOSE WHINEY PEOPLE
and finally make the game they wanted to have 20 years ago.

Yea. It almost makes sense for them to go to far with QoL changes in SoD because they can always dial it back and find the middle ground.

Can’t give an actual citation because as of now, there is no official confirmation about Scarlet Monastery being a raid in SoD. The official sources, such as the World of Warcraft forums and Blizzard’s official channels, have not mentioned Scarlet Monastery as a confirmed raid for SoD.

As of the moment it is speculation that scarlet will be a raid
 people have mentioned it more so than down right saying yes to it 


Scarlet becoming a raid atleast makes sense since it was originally going to be a massive “complex” like brd was.

If it is added. I more wonder if the old ones will still be there or not. Seeing how it’s a main leveling spot for 30-40s for dungeon grinding

Gnomer has been officially confirmed. Karazhan Crypts has been officially confirmed.

And they showed us Scarlet Monastery is that same batch of raids. It’s about as officially confirmed as you can without them literally saying the words “Yes, hello Skymon, this is Aggrend here. I’m calling you to confirm that when he showed Scarlet Monastery at Blizzcon, that was us announcing our roadmap of raids for SoD and that it is officially coming in phase 3”.

Dwarf Shamans did exist, as Wildhammer dwarves in the Hinterlands.

In classic they were a separate faction. They didn’t join the alliance dwarves until later on.

Well if you remember, Disc priest was supposed to the the original “monk” class

Maybe do a couple of runes that allow unarmed to have dps rating equivalent to a weapon of the characters level, a rune that gives extra defensive stats based on agility or somtething


Would make it very similar to an EQ monk

Technically
lore wise in the timeline that classic is set in
every race existed. Just not in actual playable form.

The only ones not really in lore or game would be Vulpera
 everything else was mentioned in lore thru the books you can even read in game.

Blood elves. Dwarf shaman. Both in hinterlands. Troll druid. Zg trolls are druid. But more shamanistic type druid.

Goblins. Booty bay.

Worgen. The greymane wall

As for race/classes
um hello argent dawn has all sorts of races that are paladins priests shaman war rogue ECT


Void Elves don’t exist yet.

Mag’har that you play as are also alt-universe Mag’har and those don’t exist in the main timeline yet either.

Gilneans are still feral at this point in time too.

Dracthyr are frozen in carbonite.

Mag’har orc. Are just orcs that didn’t drink the green Kool aid. They are the exact same orc technically. Just didn’t evolve into fel orcs.

Void elves are written about just like every other type of elf. You just never see a physical one


As for worgen. Some were feral. Greymane and others were already in control of their fate. But working on a cure or way to get the rest under control. But again still there behind the wall.

And dracthyr
frozen in Carbonite or not. Still a race in game lore.

So again. They were there. Just not playable.

Not playable or in a form that could be playable. So they’re not candidates for playable races. And if they aren’t candidates for playable races, why bring them up in the context of discussing races that could be playable?

All races could be playable. From the stand point of them existing lore wise in game
runes didn’t exist till recently ( granted those are easier to design than a playable model) which means. If blizzard wants to spend the time and money on making them they could be in SOD technically without being out of place completely

Worgens already exist in classic. Silverpine Forrest. They even switch to worgens at night. Or have you never noticed that before.

To be clear, Metzen has said he’s not retconning lore for SoD.

You did not refute any of the arguments I made. You seem to be repeatedly missing that existing =/= existing in a state suitable for a playable race. You literally mentioned that Dracthyr “exist” even though no, no they do not exist in a form that is suitable for a playable race. Unless players want to log into the game and see their character frozen in carbonite until the release of Classic Dragonflight.
