SoD 2.0 not fun

This is exactly what they want you to think

If we already knew they would be transparent

Loot could tie into anything from time played or other metrics and we wouldn’t know

These are the type of systems that keep subscriptions active

Look at the love rocket “oh we can’t just raise the drop rate”

Why not exactly

There are other factors involved with loot that are undisclosed to the player and we will never know because it’s bad for business

Make no mistake there is a man behind the curtain pulling the loot strings

This reads like a bad conspiracy theory, lol. Hope you find those lost meds.

Welcome to the hamster wheel. Low loot drops keeps you subscribe longer.

Many conspiracy theories turn out to be true.

The word conspiracy was actually invented by the government to discredit anti-gov sentiment

Look it up

Back in my day you could go a whole raid not get loot

Hahahahahaa you ain’t even close to time played that I’m at. Find a different thread and go Get your mum to change your diper

The idea that the loot rate for different content sets itself without input from devs is hilariously clueless. RNG is only one factor in complex calculations that determine who gets what when.

The dev effort tank is empty.

No new content for a year + so…they gata make it last.

Bring back titanforging. I don’t care that some addicts don’t know when to stop, it was a fun and satisfying system.

The point of all this isnt in the details about how or why business influences loot drops. We ALL know it does. The point is that most of the community in one way or another is completely fed up with how loot drops, the extensive rng the game pushes on us, and the horrible ways blizz “tries” to help with bad loot protection without affecting business metrics.
If the devs actually cared, they would give us slot options in the vault, but instead they gave us meaningless token options. Requiring players to run over 40 m+ for a trinket to not drop is a major example of how rng has gone too far.
I know quite a few friends who were happy for the patch, ran m+ for about 3 weeks (they ran at least 8-10 m+ a week, received complete crap out of their vaults and couldn’t get gear to drop so they quit running em. They mostly just raid at this point. This a very common example across the community.

It was like that. Was that fun?
Not for me.

Great feedback there! I’m sure the dev team will get right on your humble and not-at-all condescending demand.

Seriously, do you talk to people like this in real life?

Edit: I just realized you don’t know how to spell ‘diaper’. The irony does not escape me.

The post has an edit and it’s still misspelled

Actually, if the devs really cared, they wouldn’t have designed a system that breaks all rules for motivating people to be productive.

OP, I raided last week and got zero pieces of gear from the raid. And garbage from the Vault. :woman_shrugging: Seems to be working as intended.

You know players are right when the yes-men community council don’t pipe in. They think loot is “just fine” and if they were to change anything it would make getting loot more difficult.

Sigh. I fully expect there will be no significant changes until after Microsoft cleans house.

Probably not.

Wow isn’t fun with time gating?

I’m currently at 47 boss kills and I have a whopping 3 pieces of terrible stat loot from actual boss drops. My 265 wep was from heroic weekly box, and Sigil is arguably the only piece of good loot I’ve gotten. No tier, FDK is my main and this game actually makes me hate playing my DK as I historically get no drops, meanwhile my hunter alt has 2pc with half the boss kills.

I’ll never understand why they got rid of bonus rolls, at least you could attempt to target gear off specific bosses. GV has been a massive failure throughout this whole expac.

Now I’m off to be angry about this game somewhere else.
