No I like this idea. Might make people think twice before being nasty to someone if they know at any moment they are being spied on by the people in charge.
as a non “multiboxer” with multiple accounts, I can vouch for this.
I had tried to set up one of the free ones since I already had 2 accounts, and decided it wasn’t worth the hassle.
Hotney net is super easy to set up
just look up a script and most of the things a farmer would want to do is doable without a fancy program like isoboxer.
however both are against tos now so the manual way is coming back. I expect many people to pull out 2000 tech from their attics to solve this issue.
Im personally going the avenue of a more complicated physical step up.

LOL was just using Horsepower as in you don’t need good video cards or high end proc. Shoot I play on a i3 8100…
an i3 with integrated graphics is fine for the follower units.
Also remember you can just use a number pad instead of a full keyboard for each as you will only be using macros or key binds - probably 5 or less depending on what you are doing.

If I see more than two characters and you’re boxing I’ll report you and let blizzard figure it out. They have the software to figure out if you’re using a software key clone.

Obviously, and I don’t say this as someone against Multiboxing but more as someone against botting. If botters are using software the multiboxers use but then there is a loophole by using Linux, then those botters have the same access to said loopholes. So the policy change becomes moot. So to maintain integrity as they set out to do. This would need to be handled.
Personally I hope boxxers find another way of handling things. I’m not looking forward to the increased pricing of things due to the plummet in supply.
Honestly they’ll just get flagged for investigation via warden if they use the software they are banning. I don’t think players will need to do much.
Player reporting helps, Warden isn’t infallible otherwise there would be no bots.
Well seeing there is no ban on mulitboxers, only the software used to send clone key commands to different clients, this would be a fools bet to take.

Of course there would, Warden doesn’t do any banning it just let’s Blizz know someone needs to be banned. Also it can’t flag something it doesn’t know about.
That is what I just said. I should of used more commonly used words. The Warden system isn’t perfect. Otherwise there would be no bots.
IE: Warden can’t pick up everything it has flaws in it’s system.

Oh I’m sorry, what I meant was if I write a bot program right now Warden won’t be able to detect it because it doesn’t know the software exists.
I assume this is why botting is a never ending battle because the devs (bot devs) just keep adjusting or creating new software to bypass detection.

Of course, which makes the System flawed. If it was perfect it wouldn’t need to be updated to consider new programs because it would already know how to detect such things. But in this sense all programs are flawed. With good reason, even if we was able to make a system which was self learning it could be dangerous.
