Image you are a botter:
Imagen blizzard puts into the game a mechanic that increases the total raw fracting materials as well as npc int he game by 14 times.
would you:
A: stop botting
B: bot the same
C: bot all 14 phases of chromie time for over 500k an hour
D: unsub because your a good person who doesn’t want to cheat anymore.
That’s right 99.9% of everyone would pick C.
Guess what folks. for the past months thats what botters and multiboxers have been doing.
Blizzard made chromie time and forgot to calculate the effect that 14 times stuff = 14 times the disruption.
Its not. They are targeting the way people broadcast key strokes via software. The same can be done in hardware.
That is really the whole point of the thread. Blizzard’s announcement really means nothing. It appeases the people that scream about multiboxers and know know nothing about it, while in reality has very little real impact.
I don’t hate boxes or RPers.
I know… I’m weird.

I think it’s meant to deter casual boxxing

I admit, Im a bit of a noob about the whole gold making thing - How does your C option work? I don’t know what the '14 phases of chromie time" means?
Yep, where there’s a will, there’s a way.

I don’t care if you hate them or not, not everyone multiboxes to farm gold

If Blizzard Outright Banned Multiboxing my enjoyment of watching Mass Druids Moonfire spam everything down in a 40 mile radius would be dead.
I would be sad,

Multibotting is dead praise Biden! In reality, we don’t really know the intent of this software ban. its possible to target botters only, or its also possible blizzard is sick and tired of this multiboxer playstyle. time will tell!
how can you tell from seeing them spam moonfire whether they’re using software or hardware to multibox?

I’d be real curious to hear how they’re adapting to fall within the CoC. The only way I can think of is just running multiple WoW instances and then manually controlling them with the use of /follow for node picking and to be fair that would still be pretty lucrative over regular node farming, but far less efficient for everything else.
Regardless if any loopholes are found and continue to make a negative impact I would expect Blizzard to react accordingly with additional policy updates. They didn’t steamroll it because they figure this policy update will effectively nip it in the bud. Trying to find creative ways to get around a POLICY update seems silly because they’ll just update the policy as needed.

I’m no expert, so I can’t say really, but if you read the threads on here plenty of people have already mentioned how they still plan to MB and even Blizzard came out with a clarification that they were just banning some software use and that Multiboxing was still not considered against TOS and was allowed in game.
someone doesn’t know they go by logs, not observation

The Battle.net App (Warden) regularly scans your computer for cheats.
A group of players attacks a mob at a random rate. albeit within a short window.
But no 5 man group casts all spells at the same time always.
Someone doesn’t watch youtube videos.

but multiboxing is still permitted, and you can’t tell by watching whether they’re using hardware to split the input
and so witch hunts will end up burning a lot of innocent people
