i’m having fun at 60. strat/scholomance runs have been the best.
Now there’s an idea. Ty.
some of ya totally missed it…
these forums as well as in game a lot of people at griping about how bored they are at 60…
some have even said theyre playing retail again because of it…
the WHOLE point is try enjoying the game more instead of trying to play it LIKE retail…
classic historically was out a LONG time before updates and patches… ( I recall people not even close to 40 after months of playtime and AQ coming out, a good many had multiple toons, spent a lot of time swapping from one to the other to play with friends or run dungeons on a different class)
but being upset that phase two didnt immediately release ( likely wont be relasing anytime in the next few months) when there is STILL so much in game to do, really feels like perhaps ya missed some things…
my suggestion, try not to miss any of it. it would probably be another decade before classic is restarted…
You literally have multiple level 60s in this thread telling you the complete opposite of what you’re assuming most 60s are like.
Some people like to be at max asap. They did the grind as fast as possible and they choose to relax at 60.
The people who are complaining that it’s boring are the same players who were complaining at level 20. I repeat, grow up and let others play how they want.
And while you are doing that questing in hillsbrad… I’ll be corpse camping you on my epic mount in my pre-raid BIS while you struggle to collect 5 bear butts or whatever
I understand classic full well, do you?
Dude…
Decaf.
lets get real here to the cycle of wow (all of it).
content comes out, neckbeards beat it 100 times over, they afk till next content patch.
same thing will happen here - if people rush and get bored, so be it, they’ll be back for more when phase 2 is announced/released.
I can almost guarantee you most people who are level 60, and bored have only raided one week, don’t have their epic mount, still honored with every city, and professions are hovering around 200. The majority of players are in their 40s.
Reasons to rush to 60 -
- FOMO, like when you watch your favorite streamer raid UBRS when you’re still a lowbie
- Much easier to level now than later (before phase 2 honor system, the masses out-leveling you on a PvP server)
- Being able to exploit lower level players for gold
It comes down to being ahead of the curve.
yup… everyone in THIS thread…
read the rest of the forums and find more like this
Lol pve server you ham
You think a pvp tag will save you?
I’ll just train 50 mobs to you and feign death and the broken combat radius thing will make them aggro you.
Implying im stupid enough to let a hunter get close to me with a train.
Yes, I am implying that.
It’s not that they should feel bad for “doing what they want” – but that they should feel bad for doing it, realizing it isn’t what they want, and then either judging others who didn’t do that OR complaining about it on these forums as if their approach to the game invalidates everyone else’s experiences or makes the game lesser.
Nothing that you have stated I can’t already do in retail. I can and have made a friend here and there going through the world from beginning to end. I can grind both the class and professions to my heart’s content. I can do everything you describe here about your Classic experience in my retail experience.
I still put people on my friend’s list and ignore. I can run a dungeon or battleground of my choosing. I can walk through the world if I choose to do so, or I can ride if I so choose to do so. I play specs that I do not normally play to add a bit of variety to my experience. I try not to spend a lot of time on the forums, since they are an example of a very small portion of the player base that do a lot screaming and yell, and telling other people what they will do and not do or do not want changed or want changed or whine and crying about someone or some group of people taking advantage of whatever is up their butts on a given day.
try it without the instant gratification and see if you like that version of classic more.
I am not sure what you are referring to here. Anything I gain through the content I more than put the time in to earn whatever it was. Sure at some point mechanics have been placed into the game as a means of catching up. Why would I not take advantage of what was given to others as a means to suck them back into the game so they can complain later about others having the ability to receive such gifts.
These gifts would not exist if people did not force to make them exist in the first place, so who is getting the instant gratification here. I always play the content from day one without so much as a break. I put the time into endlessly grinding the content, rep, and whatever else. Someone else gets to complain after they chose to sit out a patch or expansion about other people getting something they are not deserving of. They chose to sit out and not play. I chose to take what was given and grind like there was no tomorrow and be a bear of the fruits of my labor.
So everything you say you can do in Classic. I have been able to do the same since 2007 when I first started playing this game. The game, its mechanics, talents, and whatever have changed over time. The one constant has always been ME. I have never changed the way I play or approach playing the game. Sure I have adapted to the changes over time, but at my core, I do everything the same way today that I did back in 2007. The only difference in me today is my level of skill in playing the game today.
People like to whine and compare contrast with their own experience. There is nothing that you can or can’t do in Classic that I can’t do in retail right now. Accept the same 1-60 questing experience. That is a result of Blizzard blowing that content largely away in Cata, than that I can and have had the same experiences you describe. That is because I seek and go looking for that same experience. I choose to adapt to what Blizzard choose to do with their game and I either accept those changes or find a way to achieve the same style of play that I have enjoyed in my 12 plus years of playing WoW.
Yeah, thats the joke. Welcome to the group. Your late.
Some people just have no responsibilities in life, that’s pretty much what it comes down to. People who are 60 now very well could have done all of those things, but certainly have way more free time than the average person. MMOs attract the kind of people with tons of free time who need an easy project to dump it into.
That’s not a bad thing, I’d love more free time to play WoW with, but all the people that want phase 2 asap should realize that the world is not like them.
I agree with you however why did you feel the need to poke the bear?
All the 60s in my guild have made it there because they have quite literally been playing like 12+ hours a day, and some can play while they’re at work. This is not normal. This is rushing it.
Most people have jobs that don’t allow them to play while they work, so the most they can squeeze out is about 4-5 hours/day.
