So you hated the ZC zone? Well how about a whole expansion underground

But now you get to have the claustrophobic reaction with Dynamic Flying!

They nerfed the drop rates and because of that no one wanted to do them anymore.

it was an incredibly dumb move.

I feel like Alliance players will like this expansions, because it’s another expansion dedicated to them. Am I really that far off here?

For some, maybe. However that can be said for every zone in the game in terms of not liking the theme or visuals. For me, I loved the ZC, but the things to do there were so boring and mundane that I never went back after I finished the story.

Looks amazing to me. It’s going to be huge. Perhaps you missed the part where they said it wouldn’t feel like you’re underground in some zones.

I thought ZC was an amazing zone. I just disliked the mole race

Yea, its like someone that put onions in the sauce telling someone that hates onions, “you wont even taste them.”

Well… it wasn’t that it was underground that bothers me.

It’s needing groups to do anything down there. And groups dried up.

I liked the zones in dragonflight all except the island feeling. They had 3 dimensions. It wasn’t flat like BFA. I rarely say I like anything but that was not one of my gripes.

My dragonflight issues stem from having way too many repeatables. Grinding massive rep grinds instead of playing the game. The 1000 currencies. Remember when there was just gold? No feeling of completion in a zone. World quests that are designed to repeat the same content over and over. Mythic +++++++++++ that is designed to repeat the same dungeon over and over. Raid ++++++ that is designed to repeat the same raid over and over. You pay good money to repeat the same game over and over again. The underground was more of the same. Everyone knew they didn’t have to do it, because you would be given the free rep anyway and dungeons and raids rule the world.

But you don’t taste onions in the sauce. The acidity of the tomatoes neutralizes the taste of the onions.

It is NOT nearly as confined, and there is SKY in the underground world of Azeroth.
Try again.

If onions don’t effect the sauce why bother adding them to begin with?

It’s a texture thing.

I’m pretty sick of the current iteration of rare mobs. They aren’t even rare they spawn so often. I’d like to see rares be more rare, but maybe take a pretty long time to kill and maybe be overpowered. Something where you want a ton of people there and you’re incentivized to be there. Not like world bosses tho where they just fall over instantly to a group that instantly fills in LFG.

I am going to miss some epic skyboxes. Maybe there are underground storms or something

Deepholm was way better than ZC and it didn’t have dragon riding, and Didn’t feel as closed in.

The issue wasn’t that it was underground. It was that the devs killed it before it had a chance to be anything at all.

Not so close to the ground, and not full of areas that will shoot you down if you so much as jump slightly off the ground.

I don’t have a problem per se with underground zones and roofs. But I fear this may be a way for certain devs with an axe to grind against flight and the mobility it gives to take advantage. The issue is existence of pillars from the floor to ceiling, ceiling hanging rocks, obstacles basically which make things look cavey but are a real annoyance to navigate about compared to wide open skies and tend to slow people down if not with dragonriding put a complete stop to their forward momentum.

Deepholme isn’t bad. I have lots of issues with WoW including the announced direction but underground isn’t one of them yet, it depends on how its implemented. Some of my favorite zones in other RPGs have been underground ones. The earth hides many secrets and there’s just something charming and enchanting about exploring lost caverns, hidden tunnels, the deep dark.

Beat me to it. :clinking_glasses:
