So who else is going to switch to their xbox controller for Shadowlends?

Can’t wait. So many years waiting and it’s finally coming. Character control and combat will never be the same!

I much prefer keyboard and mouse.

The xbox control is confusing. When I play diablo with the kids I am constantly mashing the wrong button or hunting for the odd rarely used one.

To each their own though.

Controller will be about as bad probably worst than keyboard turning.

Good luck though…

Well it get more use out of the pro controller for me so maybe I’d give it a go. Come november unless Cyber punk drops with mod creation support at some point…I’d be real familiar with the controller regardless. As Xbox might be the chosen Cyberpunk platform if no mods.

or both. I mean I own console and pc skyrim and fallout for mod development. If this game delivers it can join the dual system family too.

Maybe we’ll see, “checking io. NO controllers!” in LFG for pug M+ or raids lol

Is the controller support in the beta or ptr? Have tried it?

Well depends if it doesn’t override the PC setup, as well work with macros.

I know it’s common sense to not think that, but reason why i think that is because i used consoleport and it doesn’t work particular well for me, not to mention if i switch back, all the actionbars and such are out of place. So i hope it’s on a separate controller action bars.

You can test it on the PTR.

Keybind work the same as keyboard, turning works better imo, if you go down with the joystick the character does a 180 and run the other direction instead of backpedaling. It feels good, and I intend to use it for some casual couch play to do world quests and level up.

… I totally forgot about that. :man_facepalming:

 :hammer:

I have a keyboard and mouse. Why would I need some console device?

Xbox should not exist, so you can count me out of that :stuck_out_tongue:

I mean if you’re s key is still bound to back peddling and you don’t already know how to strafe with a KB/M combo a controller probably won’t do much. 14 buttons for binds is not close to enough for most classes. 16 I guess If they still have start and select… I myself use more than double that with shift and control macros.

It’s great for accessibility for players who can struggle with a KB and mouse but you’ll be at a disadvantage.

All you need for casual play is a few attacks and flying control. Don’t need elaborate keybindings for that.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Watching someone steer with a controller will be visible, that arc will stand out a great deal.

Controller seems horrible for WoW, but you can get way more binds than that with trigger/bumper modifiers.

I suppose maybe if i was gonna do something like kick back in my chair fishing for an hour.

Sounds pretty terrible for actually playing though.

Try more like 40

I play controller on FFXIV exclusively

L2+face=8
R2+face=8
L2>R2+face=8
R2>L2+face=8
L2+L2+face=8
R2+R2+face=8
48 buttons

I don’t count face alone because you do things like jump and interact with that.

How will a controller even work? There are so many more abilities than there are controller buttons when you factor in all of your defensives, CC, utility, talents and normal rotational abilities.

And god help the group that has a healer using a controller.
