Well Voss is getting drunk at the boomer pocket dimension bar. Apparently this happened on her day off.
I feel like I haven’t seen many orcs in Eversong but maybe they’re in the other zones?
I’m just baffled and furious at the lack of prelates. The Zandalari have an entire, ancient and long-standing order of light channelers and you mean to tell me that the Sun well only summoned ONE???
Make it make sense.
I am a little curious about this little detail, and I would hope that is something we explore a little later.
Meeting Tyrosus, we learn that there was a selective summoning of people.
Blizzard is either walking back on the light just being a neutral force with no inherent will of its own, or something else entirely different is happening in the Sunwell. It would not be the first time that the energies of the Sunwell were personified (Anveena).
The Sunwell does contain a Naaru. Perhaps the light users simply heard it’s call for help, and were summoned that way?
And with how the Sunwell seems to be fighting the void storm by itself, which implies there’s more going on with it than the anyone, even the blood elves realize.
My friend we are allies in this fight, not competitors.
So far, there’s one in the Haranir starting questline if you pick Horde for ‘em. Some lady whose name I’ve already forgotten. Not sure if they’re anywhere else, haven’t gotten through all the side quests.
So many races (like Vulpera!) at least have priests and yet there are none of them. The Light seems to be geographically…challenged…In its summoning practices and seems to only have summoned people from the eastern continent(? Can anyone yay/nay?). Maybe the Horde was just too far away on Kalimdor <.<
im not going agaisnt you was wod killign all your legendary heroes, or bfa was relativly minor for orcs and since basicly dont excist
I WANT horde to be included and done way better and done justice, but i aslo way way way to often about horde bias/.. BUT BUT CATA THRALL REE!!! and other simelair (not that you are, but here on forums and elsewere is see that kinda attiudes alot)
Dezco and his Sunwalkers dont even seem to know anything is going on, and they’re in Hammerfall. Not that they seem to care even after we assume they were told offscreen by Faol. Which, side-note, why the hell is Blizz still trying to make that town plot relevant? Its gives off “Token Horde neighbor in the otherwise Alliance gated community” vibes. I’m especially irritated they decided to plug the AU Mag’har there for all places.
Plainly, the reason the Horde is so utterly lacking in representation in the defense of Silvermoon is purely because Blizz does not want them there. As they likely deemed the greater Red faction as inconvenient to the scenario they’re trying to manufacture, that places the BEs in a position of indebtedness to largely Alliance Elven Factions/Alliance. To justify and railroad this “Elven Unity, under a very Alliance positive lens” story they’re trying to tell.
I do try to be understanding of a game’s limitations, but after a certain point it’s like…WoW is 20+ years old. They should have their frickn processes in place and ‘didn’t have time/resources to add in a few Horde NPCs and extra detail’ is just…no, especially for a company of this size.
It was nice to see Hammerfall and see how people are doing (I actually like seeing how the good ‘ol common folk are doing amidst conflicts), but ‘hey clear this field of weapons pls’ and being all peaceful and day to day stuff…Like okay. Nice. This would be SO MUCH better in context if the Sunwalker was actually rushing, trying to get stuff set up so they could depart and go help. Instead they’re just sorta…Not giving a heck? Unhurried. In their lane. Moisturized. Which is just absurd.
This isnt a limitation issue, this is an intention issue.
Portal Magic is still working in Silvermoon, and greater Quel’thalas. Its not just Arator and Faol who are bouncing cross country, there are intentionally lines of evacuees in Silvermoon moving off to diff cities. Silvermoon is one of the two most advanced Arcane civilizations in this setting; partnerred closely with one of the others in Surumar. Yet even the NBs have little presence beyond a token representation in the Raid. Hell, didja see the trailer lineup? Its a VE, a NE, Arator in the center (of course he is), then the two BEs (Lor and Liadrin). No NB present tho?
Blizzard does not want the Horde present. It clearly interferes with “the story they wish to tell”. Which essentially amounts to an Alliance savior story within Horde territories, in order to manufacture a reason for Elf Unification under very Alliance Elf friendly terms. ZA is kinda the only zone that breaks this mold atm.
I did enjoy ZA much more than the other zones. I suppose I’ll have to cope and headcanon that someone was blocking portal access for the Horde…somehow. Typical Alliance plot. ![]()
heir limiation is jsut hwo wanna write,
they dont wanna write the horde
they dont wanna write for wow/waraft really alot fot hem

like are so many exmaples disproving them
and thats ultimatly problem of many with blizzard their ego’s and the stance were always rigth our customers/players are always wrong
We are literally in a horde city, interacting with mostly horde characters. There are some meme main storyline quests with Alleria or Arator, but for the most part this is all horde content. They created this expansion specifically around revamping a horde city where they are not revamping an alliance city as a counterpart, alliance get auto killed in a third of the city, half the player population is literally not allowed in a portion of the city. We quest with Liadrin in ZA, constantly having to interact with Lor’themar, we do all those side stories about the blood elves in Eversong, all those reputations with the court etc. IT’s just a gigantic blood elf expansion that goes way into blood elf lore. They literally took the army of the light away from the draenei who have virtually no presence here outside of Velen.
It’s crazy how much horde, specifically blood elf, content there is but you babies literally will always cry about no horde content despite this expansion being entirely dedicated to rebuilding a horde city while giving the alliance no counterpart to that, and most of the NPCs you interact with are horde blood elves.
Are you high? how can be majority horde if its the arator and alleria are main quest? aka the important stuff?
Half of the map is alliane focued content, zul’aman and harandar is just liadrin and halduron being token NPCs while alleria and turalyon are important key figures in their zones
My dude, the city was literally revamped to also be an alliance city
oh man, the alliance cant go to 1/3 of the enemy city, while they ahve 2/3 to do what they want, the horde favoritism , how much they are losing.
Wow he does like 5 quests for you and barely talks
Its not like we are doing an entire questline with tyrande where she talk crap about you if you are horde /s
Besides we talk more with turalyion.
Even Anduin shows up to boss around.
You mean only blood elf, dont be dishonest.
Alliance cannot access 1/3rd of the city, so this is incorrect. The entire expansion was so they could revamp a horde city without giving the alliance a counterpart for the revamp. It has nothing to do with the alliance at all. They just didn’t want to have to create a counterpart for the alliance, and they didn’t as this is purely about the blood elves and the devs spending all their time remaking their city and zones.
One faction has never had disproportionate access to a city, even in Dalaran they had their own sections. Here that is not the case, this kind of asymmetrical treatment has never been done before.
None of what has happened so far is important. The majority of the questing in Eversong is all about blood elves, just being Arator is a token NPC you follow around doesn’t change that, you learn a lot about that area and Arator just spend last expansion simping over Sylvanas in that pre quest. The main story is split between which characters you follow, but all of it is in service of the horde zone, city and race.
You did like one quest with Tyrande 10 years ago and are still crying about it, Lor’themar bans the alliance from a third of the city which actually impacts gameplay. Anduin shows up once to tell the light dreadlord not to be mean to Umbric. Turalyon just shows up to look like a total loser and then leaves.
The main problem is always the exaggeration, because it simply doesn’t make sense to claim that the beginning of the expansion doesn’t focus on the Horde. What can actually be said is that there is an absence of the other Horde members when it comes to helping defend one of their own.
The narrative focus is indeed centered on the Horde and on one of its peoples; the real issue is that this centrality is not accompanied by a more visible participation from the other races and leaders within the faction, which ends up creating the impression that the defense is happening in a more isolated.
The maddening thing is, the Forsaken do not need portals. They marched into Quel’Thalas a decade ago when the Plaguelands were still dominated by the Scourge and Scarlets.
The time frame here is as always unclear. So I’ll buy that even the tireless bonesteeds of the Forsaken couldn’t haul an army there in time.
But c’mon at least have Belmont turn up with a squadron of dreadwings. How funny would it have been to have him in those meetings with Turalyon?
Yeah, it’s undeniable how focused this expansion is on the horde and a horde city, you can argue we haven’t seen enough from the other horde races yet but the devs really love the blood elves and want to focus a lot on them, but we also haven’t even seen the max story quest which we’ve already heard the voice lines for with the nightborne. Not to mention Sylvanas is likely showing up at some point as we spend that whole quest chain with Arator talking about how great she was in the maw.
Again it’s just really weird the Forsaken are completely absent. They are neighbors. Forsaken live in Quel’Thalas for Christ’s sake. They don’t need a portal. They are next to it.
And it wouldn’t bother me that much if manpower wasn’t a plot thread. The Sin’Dorei don’t even really want the Alliance there but they’re forced to because they’re stretched too thin.
The Forsaken suffered a pretty bad blow in BFA. The Scourge and Scarlets are still active. And I certainly wouldn’t bet on Gilnean pacifism. So there’s perfectly valid reasons the Forsaken couldn’t send a save the day sized force.
But they should definitely be there in a distinct and official capacity.
Like this is a rare opportunity for the Forsaken to have an unambiguously heroic moment without compromising their vibe. Nobody’s gonna care if they Blight void monstrosities or start eating dead cultists.
There could be such a cool “We bring you terror from beyond the stars” “And we bring you terror from beyond the grave” moment.
I’m not saying the Forsaken should be the main characters here but as the Sin’Dorei’s first and best friend in the Horde, they deserve a best supporting actor role.
