The competition isn’t really any better. A lot of people have this delusion that FF14’s developers listen to their players, but IMO they are just as bad as Blizzard.
I would assume prepatch will be sometime after the double rep buff ends, so beginning of October, if not later.
Considering SL releases on the 20th of October.
Late september(20-30) or Oct 1 is the likely and most logical date.
Just as soon as one more Alliance guild gets 12/12.
I would bet on the 22nd. That’ll give it five week until expansion launch.

It’s a 4 week prepatch at minimum, sept 29th is the LATEST date.

Not necessarily, Legion end of pvp season 7 was announced on a thursday, 12 days before prepatch.
This month not next.

Either way I’m hoping for the 22nd.
The thing that confuses me, is that we were told, like two months ago that the prepatch would be 4-6 weeks before… so why are we having an extended maintenance tomorrow? usually the last few weeks before the prepatch they don’t do extended maintenance unless…(I can get my hopes up right, lol)
My bets on the 29th, that way they can kill the rep buff for it but it still counts as “through september”

We’ve had a few long maintenance recently.
There is always the end of the PvP season announcement about 2 weeks before the pre-patch and the content of this pre-patch is divided into 4 weeks I believe AND they said this pre-patch would be shorter than most. 22nd at the earliest.
Don’t recall them ever saying shorter than most lol, they said 4-6 weeks around July 8 and there is 4 weeks of event timegating iirc.
the class changes are what people want not the event
