Yeah these were the revised numbers, ST ended up being about 4% too.
It also adds more legitimacy to the VF Yogg builds we’re seeing pop in higher fort keys

Anywho, Ellipsis has always advocated for buffs for Priest. That in no way reflects nor echos youe claims of not being able to do more than tank level damage or that youre unable to keep up.
You can be in the bottom 5 and still be competitive. You first have to understand the data that puts shadow in the bottom 5.
Edit to add: and you’ll never mimic that data in a PuG setting. Nor in a Mythic Progression guild either
I can pull random logs showing Spriests in the top 3rd.

Has the math been done on how this will compare to the current fortified builds? I usually play the cookie cutter n’zoth + c’thun + da build during fortified weeks, but I flex the points from mastermind into screams of the void. I’d sure love an excuse to play VF instead…
Also that was raids, this thread is about keys.
The math always says it’s worse because it overvalues bosses in the models but people have been blasting with VF yogg builds before the buffs too. In raw AoE though it is firmly ahead if the encounters last long enough to get all of it out.
You kinda want the crafted helm for it tho.
The Vibrant Wildercloth Helm with blue suede lining? I have it for pvp. Most of my gear decisions were made with disc in mind, but I’ve been playing a lot more shadow lately. I could rock the helm and catalyze some 489 haste/mastery shoulders if its worthwhile, but I’ll maybe wait and see how things shake out before I do that.

edit: just a quick update i did some more shadow keys around the level 20 range…never once did i feel like i was competing with the tank.

It’s not a personal attack. Again, for your ilvl, you’re doing about half the damage that you should be. That has nothing to do with the class. That’s a personal skill issue.

“cause” you’re doing sub par damage based on skill. There’s no reason you should be topping out at 130-150k damage at your ilvl in 20’s when you’ve got priests pushing 250-300k in that range (and upwards of 400k in higher keys). Stating facts isn’t a personal attack.

Nope you’re still gonna feel that way because the buffs aren’t going to suddenly make you start doing 200k more damage. You’re still going be parsing 50’s until you figure out how to play the spec properly.
