unless i’m mistaken, this talent incentivizes dhs to still press the active gcd of throw glaive. by that token, refreshing the chaotic imprint debuff that was already on a target from tg casts is meaningless. the only exception would be a dh minmaxing with off target throw glaives, maximizing their debuff uptime at the cost of whatever single target damage that loses
I literally included that ability in the list that procs from BD/DS now… You dont have to press throw glaive at all now unless you want to tag a rogue or something. Set bonus makes it do it works off BD/DS and it consumes charges from it.
that doesn’t meet my understanding of how soulscar’s damage is calculated. give me a moment to look up whether i trust you to know how dh works on deeper than an ignorantly speculative level
Yes you do if you wanna maximize soul scar. Throw glaive has 2 charges, use them then blade dance cause even if you don’t have charges BD still throws a glaive. Now if you don’t throw glaives it’ll use a charge of glaive.
Edit:soul scar carries over left over dot damage if re applied, I’ve gotten it to crit 60k from a dot.
Regular chaos strike can crit 40k per MH/OF so 80k total if both crit. That’s chaos strike unbuffed, throw glaive unbuffed (no momentum/inertia) can crit 20k (throws 2 glaives per charge) so 40k if both crit, but it applies a dot which then you can blade dance to throw another when out of charges to maintain dps/pressure.
well I’m not trying to be toxic ether but your advice is cheeks and thats bullsht if you have a hpal they literally just tunnel vision the hpal and no amount of slows or peeling gets them off on top of them basically double aoe cleaving everything. on top of you assuming im running ret pal war which im not a ape not running that running turbo and thunder theres no stun besides me and obviously my hpal shares dr with me.
I have 20 warriors I’m a certified ape, but I’m not ape enough to run ret warrior. The most ape comp out there is fw/ret/war the people that play that might aswell be full gorilla. im also just realizing half this thread is efc trying to defend his broken spec nice.
Maybe I’m a scrub, or just don’t run across good DHs on my lock, but DHs don’t bother me too much. I think they’re a little overtuned, but at least they have the decency to actually die when they’re supposed to. Maybe I’m just used to fighting DHs from back in BFA, too, but sub feels way worse to fight. Control. Burst. Tankiness, pick two, not all 3.
