So what is it you do in the game?

What would you like to see made better or added to the game for you to do that would not include dungeons and raiding?

I still do some raiding on another account but have stopped at least for the remainder of BFA on this one and this is what got me to thinking about this.

I love questing but have done them all several times and I like crafting but to make anything good I have to raid and do mythic dungeons which I think is kind of silly.

Aside from fixing and improving crafting which has been posted about many times what I would like to see is a new quest or string of quests added every week or two throughout the expansion.

Some or even most could be related to character development and progress along the current theme of the expansion. Other quests could be from your past where an NPC friend might need some help in Outlands or some other zone (this would be a good way to “make the world seem bigger”) and this would also add a little something new once in a while between patches.

Pretty much I level alts and vaguely touch on Nazjatar/Mechagon. I have approximately zero interest in the Essence system, the Benthic stuff was fine the first time but it boring as heck after the fact.

I just don’t feel like there’s anything interesting to do. It’s just doing bland catch-up stuff or doing it again on alts. Nothing feels terribly interesting, honestly. Warfronts, Islands, etc.

I can’t even remember the last time I did an Island Expedition, actually. Or a Warfront.

This would have zero impact on the quality of the content available.

The content that exists is boring and dried up within a few weeks, with zero replay value. Flying or no flying won’t change this, I’m just more likely to do it with flying because I can get it over fast enough to not care.

It’s not a major facet of the game and I don’t do tons with it but I do wish they’d do more with pet battles. For example, I loved the Falcosaur quest lines they had in Legion. It’d be nice if they did more like that.

Alternatively, they could expand it is a more universal way, such as adding new levels or allowing some way to upgrade them to Epic quality.

Everything at this point to be on par with ESO, FFXIV and GW2. They gotta take notes.

I log in, teleport to mechagon, check if “Taking the Air Out” is available for the 38th time, realise it’s not, do the few quests rewarding mana pearls, log out.

I agree…I have been playing ESO on and off since it launched and starting to play it more and more.

There is just so much more they could do in WOW to keep people interested in the game.
Like Karat said do more with pet battles is one thing and making crafting more relevant is another. Occasionally adding new quests in between patches is another. Doing that could keep the story going throughout the expansion and would at least keep questers happy.

For pvpers who want world PVP they could have one or two free for all zones just to kill each other for a title or something…want gear rewards go to battle grounds or arena…want the titles and bragging rights come to the warzone :stuck_out_tongue:

Sure they have tons of world quests and dailies we could do but once you do them 100 times each you just think “do I really want to log in and do the same crap again?”

Blizzard gotta understand their competitors took similar ideas to boost their game fun factor. Blizzard needs to do the same on them to join back on the fun factor radar. I hate to say it, but current WoW feels like a game that belongs in 2014 which is ironically when WoD came out xD. BFA should of had something entirely different, but here we are in a worsen state.

That’s a shame. Heroic BoD and Heroic TEP have been fantastic, some of the best raid experience in a long time.

Yes, raiding takes such a long time and have to maintain focus throughout the fights. I don’t raid anymore even LFR.

I would like some quest chains that lead to some cosmetics, pets, mounts or toys.
Secret finding is also very interesting.

I do still raid on another account 1 night a week but on this was my main on this one and most of the raid group stopped raiding for various reasons and some just stopped playing. But there is just a lot more to this game than raiding and dungeons.

A lot of people claim that raiding is the “end game” every expansion but to someone who just mainly does pet battles and never raids wellll and ultimate pet battle against Azshara’s favorite pet would be the “end game” for them and a series of quests and pet battles to get to that battle would be a terrific end game for them.

A crafter who could craft you a piece of gear that is BIS or the next best thing to BIS for you with mats you could sell them from doing raids and dungeons because they don’t would be their end game…and it would put gold in your pocket from selling the mats and gold in theirs from selling the gear…win win if you ask me.

There is just so much to this game that the developers do not take advantage of because they are stuck in a rut of doing the same things over and over.

Sure they change a ton of stuff every expansion and add new things but they don’t expand on things that work or could have worked if done differently and keep people interested.

The garrison and the class hall are just two good examples of this. The garrison was a nice individual hangout with a few friends and the class hall was good and I don’t know about you but we had some good times in the garrison and class hall. What would have been a cool next step to that would have been a Guild Hall.

While I secretly also liked the Garrison, especially on the Alliance side, we’re of the minority there. Most people hated WoD, and associate garrison with the hatred of the expansion.

And agreed, a Guild Hall would be fantastic.

I just resubbed a few days ago for a month just to kill time before Borderlands 3 drops in September so I mostly just farm the rep for flying. I’m about halfway through honored with Mechagon & Nazjatar.

Currently, do my dailies, see if brother is online, if he is, see if he wants to do Mythic+, if not, i will work on leveling my Horde main. I want them to make PvE cross faction so i don’t have to do this.

If I don’t want to do much, I RP.

I would like to see player housing where crafting items and going out into the world to collect items could be added to it.

A more dynamic leveling experience with area mini bosses or world base quests that pop up.

I liked the WoD Garrison quests scenario with your follower.

I would like different attractions to come and go in the Darkmoon Faire.

Well for me i like so added twist.

  1. Allow hunter to breed animals.
  2. Allow demon locks to get more unique demons through pack quest.
  3. Allow warriors to be able to get stances through training.
  4. Allow priest new disciplines based on race.
  5. Give more druid animal options. Allow the to quest for the. Like let say night elf wants to be a boar instead or bear.
  6. More chain quest with twist and mystery. Make them hard and have to solve clues and stuff. At end give vanity stuff. No pets, mounts or gear.
  7. Races events,
  8. Last one love to see. Give shamans more sprite forms. Like sprite hawk to fly with for tuarens.

I don’t even know man. I think I just grind and grind and wait for the actual game to start. I’ll let you know when I find it.

I do a bit of everything really. I have yet to dabble in any rated pvp but I will casually dip my toes into some BGs. I would really like to do more world content stuff and increase the rewards for that beyond just mounts, pets, and toys. Would love player housing and stuff that would really make crafting relevant for other professions.
