Yeah. It should be all rings unlocked with only the “azerite empowered” center button requiring a higher neck level.
That way we get rid of the thing that people complained about - having to grind to unlock rings we already had unlocked on previous armor - and give people a little ilvl boost to work towards with the neck.
I don’t think anyone is complaining that you will need level 42 to unlock (hell I am almost to 50 and I don’t actively do anything to get AP) but it is more that this is different than what they said was going to happen. So they want some clarification on what changed.
Didnt say it actually was, said they tried. Theyve never been actually capable of perfect balance in the history of this game. I never expect them to either.
How do you like the amount of AP you will now need on your alts for lvl 50 if you have not reached that level yet? Its gone from 80K to like 185K for lvl 50 AP! What a load of BS!
Where was this mentioned? I know they are giving everyone up to level 35 for free (which my alts are around at this point already) but I didn’t hear anything about them increasing the AP cost to level.
Yep, who cares right. Blizzard does not need the next wave of player that leave because they lied to us yet again. They don’t need the money their subs bring in. It’s no big loss. Blizzards has not lost enough players in this expansion to make a difference. They still have 15 million subs and adding more every day. Whats a few more leaving going to hurt. They have not lost millions a month, they don’t need the money to develop any future content. Lets just lie to everyone, no one will leave.
No one has left because of the decisions about portals, the water strider, pathfinder, pvp vendors, removing this and removing that. They all have been great decisions we didn’t need those players. We are the number 1 mmo in the world. Keep up the good works Blizzard it’s all working out so great for ya.
I wonder if that is the trade off for the free 35 levels? Kind of sucks for people who already are above that but not at 50 yet. Still I don’t really worry about the HoA that much upon my alts. And in 8.2 they will have a lower bar to unlock most their AZ traits anyways.
Still sucks but the system will be a bit more friendly. Still wonder what happened to the “everything unlocked” change?
Knowing them, they mean the stuff unlocks itself when you hit the required AP to unlock it, without you having to click it to upgrade the essence, or some unexplained nonsense like that.
Yes, exactly. I even state it like twice in the original post that 43 will be easy to reach with AK. That’s really besides the point. And it doesn’t matter how Ion worded that specific interview. Every other interview they never mentioned “Depending on your heart level.” They outright state regardless of your heart level in every other interview.
The point is, this is a complete 180 from that, ONE WEEK BEFORE THE PATCH DROPS and it’s not okay.
I would argue that anyone who isn’t level 35 on their Heart of Azeroth hasn’t really been playing the game much at this point. I get to level 20 or so just by going 110-120.
It’s almost like people might level an alt to 120 after the patch drops? You know, like people do? Or someone might come back to the game and hit 120 after the patch? Almost all of my alts are at least HoA 43, so this doesn’t affect any of my toons, doesn’t mean I’m not going to bring it up.
And again, the whole point of 8.2 was to “fix the Azerite system” and move traits from the armor to the neck, and they outright told us, multiple times that all armor would come with all their traits unlocked in 8.2 because they were shifting the focus of Azerite to unlock traits to the neck, rather than the armor.
But instead, they have now lied, and made the armor unlock fully until HoA43, which you won’t get unless you grind.
AND AGAIN, I’M WELL AWARE YOU CAN GET HoA 43 EASILY ONCE MORE AK KICKS IN. That is not the point. The point is the fact they outright stated one thing, then did another. I’m tired of Blizzard lying point blank to our face and I’m not afraid to call them out.
Except they didn’t lie?
They said lvl 50 neck was like the max for Azerite gear. After you hit 50 neck you don’t need to get neck lvls to unlock azerite traits anymore.
Why is that so hard to understand?
The neck is still going to be a core part of the expansion. Because they’re not throwing that out. But they made due on their promise. Players hated unlocking the same traits over and over again so they got rid of it. Now neck levels after 50 go into empowering other things.
They’re not talking about some dude’s alt, or a new player just hitting 120 for the first time. When Blizz talks about new patch content they assume that the player has done everything in the current patch. Thus they can assume the majority of players will be 48-50 neck and they shouldn’t HAVE to clarify for people that are lower than that because it doesn’t matter.
