Overall strategies are meaningful, but they are only one variable. Other important variables include:
- Overall gear levels of people in the BG
- Having enough good tanks and healers
- Number of afk’ers, fishers, exp’errs, etc.
- General willingness to stick together (which mounts influence)
High-end Alliance premades could use any number of different strats to effortlessly beat Horde. We try to maxmize speed, but we are going to win most of the time whether we play O, D, split, rush, wipe them on Belinda, whatever.
Conversely, Alliance PUGs are shafted. A bunch of 2900hp Corporals aren’t going to carry 8 afk’ers and fishers to regular victories, no matter what strategy they use.
There is no strategical shift that anyone can theorycraft that will allow Alliance PuGs to overcome the fact that their top PvP’ers aren’t playing with them, wheras Horde’s top PvP’ers are.
