So, what do you like about the game?

  • Dwarves
  • Playing with my friends
  • The background RP I’ve put into various characters
  • The world, barring some zones and maybe an entire expansion

Currently, nothing. My schedule doesn’t allow for me to play w the few remaining people who do and playing solo isn’t fun.

Barny’s Scarab Lord Adventures is what I miss about WoW and I am hoping some of the sense of community returns with DF.

Nothing. I only play to punish myself.

Mythic raiding and that’s literally it.

As of right now, what I love about WoW is Classic. I don’t think the endgame ever appealed to me and WoW right now is almost becoming some sort of lobby game which is not exactly why I play MMORPGs. Been having fun leveling my belf paladin in TBC though and I re-subbed to continue my journey.

I like WAY more things than I dislike about the game. It’s basically my escape world. I log in, I hear the sounds and the music and I just know… I am not at work. Thank gawd!

casual pvp mostly, really excited to see solo shuffle rated next exp.

I have been on the forums since BC. There has always been some iteration of discontent, as long as I have been on here.

Old content. Legion was great. I tend to hang out there quite a bit.
And making gold. A lot of gold. The ah is a game, within the game.

If you have another character, switch to that character on the Forums, then switch back to Zodyax. That should update his level.

A lot of things about the game can infuriate me at times. However, I stick around because I can mindlessly kill things and take my mind off the dystopian nightmare that modern life is becoming. I am not here to challenge myself, get better at playing (if that hasn’t happened in 17 years, it isn’t going to happen), or climb ladders in raids, arenas, or dungeons. I play to gather as many mobs as I can and maul them into tiny pieces as a bear.

I love blowing up gray mobs in old zones

The forums are only the same 40 people and their alts,
so hardly the representation of the playerbase.
Also, it’s easier to hate something than love something.
Also, these 40 people have serious addiction issues.

they hated him because he spoke the truth

  • It allows for casual solo play.
  • Subscription is cheap.
  • Demon Hunters.

Oof, I’m a fan of Lego as well but only building stuff following instructions. I’ve also never been interested in playing Minecraft, although I did enjoy watching some folks on Youtube play it. Too much freedom for me to really get into myself, which probably sounds weird.

Anyway, what I like about WoW is uh…generally grindy stuff that most other people seem to hate. The only problem is I have a serious case of e-hoarding going on, and most farming becomes basically impossible when I only have like 10 open inventory slots to work with. This hoarding is the main reason why I still don’t have the insane title after all these years…the junkboxes for Ravenholdt are bad enough to manage with empty bags!

The different activities and sense of player progression. The music, art and quest design. Seriously, the quest design in wow has improved so much it’s amazing. I enjoy the PVP and the M+ and in a few days we’re going to try and take down Heroic Jailer.

That there is so much to do, it is impossible to get bored.

I’m burned out on raiding and even dungeons, but there is still so much to do. Making new alts, working on professions, collecting archeology stuff, pet battles, transmog, farming old mounts and pets and toys.

I’ve been having fun doing battlegrounds again lately.

One thing my partner and I have been doing together is making alts specific to a certain expansion, locking xp off at 47, and going through the end-game stuff there. Threads of Fate and Chromie-Time is amazing.

SL has been kind of a bust for me, but there are still things fun to do. Zereth Mortis is more fun than people give it credit. Torghast is fun even though they gutted it. Each class and spec has different fun things to do in there.

I like running dgs, putzing around the open world, and the occasional bg. The games pretty fun if you dont act like if you stop grinding bear butts for 5 seconds youll get declined for +2s

I mostly just like exploring, flying around, doing the occasional dungeon, leveling alts. I play WoW very casually.

I haven’t spent thousands of dollars and thousands of hours playing a game I hate. There would have to be something seriously wrong with me if I did.

I suspect that the most of the ones who keep hating on the game actually enjoy it, but lack the social skills to give constructive feedback in a way that might be listened to. They take the simple minded approach that if you’re loud enough, and outrageous enough, someone will notice. Unfortunately all that gets noticed is that they’re loud and outrageous, with whatever good ideas they may have getting lost in the noise.

People like me are as much to blame as anyone. We respond to spectacle more than good ideas, which is why so many good topics of discussion drop down the page while senseless troll topics go to 600 posts.

But to the OP’s question, I love the world my characters play in, and the stories each of them live out, both the ones Blizzard writes, and the ones I write.
