So we really going to let Blizzard get away with something so small as this?

I did, you’re wrong. Bringing society down to the lowest common denominator is reductive.

We as paying customers are in no position to keep Blizzard from “getting away” with anything.

First of all: yikes. Second of all, socialism still has nothing to do with private companies changing their private product to whatever they like.

You can use those buzzwords all day long, but it still won’t be applicable here. Real world political systems do not apply to video games. Period.

No, it really isn’t. If you cater to whoever can get offended at the most things you’re inevitably going to cause two really disastrous events to occur. The first is that you incentivize people to just get offended at literally anything because you’ve now emboldened them. The second is that it inevitably creates more of these people.

This would be reasonable if we didn’t just watch over the last decade whenever a business bent over due to complaints over the dumbest things that it never stopped, it just amplified the scope of the umbrella of what “offensive” is. This has turned a lot of people who would normally be receptive to these ideas completely off of it.

This hasn’t been a “oh, this quest alludes to sexual assault, we should probably not entertain that and remove it.” then nobody complained further matter. This has become a “Well you listened on the last thing, now this whistle sound is offensive to me so change it, also this item if I squint my eyes can be kind of viewed as racist therefore this needs changing too.”

Anyone who went to kindergarten heard the “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” story, this is literally what is happening. I’m understanding of the cases where most people can universally agree something is offensive. I am not in favor of what is offensive being solely to the discretion of the person who screams the loudest over the smallest thing, nor are most people. This is why a lot of social movements have drastically declined in their membership over the years. There are a lot of LGBT people that do not agree with LGBT as a group with their main reason being “I was for marriage equality, I was not for harassing bakers or mandating that kids be exposed to these ideas before even hitting puberty.”

I mean it does, just not in the way people think it does. It definitely plays a part but it isn’t because of company views or anything. It’s because someone in marketing realizes these are the types of people that will buy a 2 dollar coffee cup for 12 dollars because you put a trendy logo on it. Think Nike gives a damn about Kaepernick? Hell no, they just realize if they slap his name on some shoes people are going to pay through the nose thinking they’re contributing to making a difference. FFS, Che Guevara is slapped on overpriced shirts specifically so a company can profit off nitwits.

For as much as people who are very much in agreement with Socialism like to pretend they’re smart, they sure get played like a fiddle when it comes to Capitalism.

Literally none of this is socialism.

Following market trends isn’t related to socialism at all.

Again, American education has failed immensely

Can you read like at all? I never said it was blatant socialism. I just stated it does play a role in their decision making. Namely profiting off morons.

Sorry, I’ll make a note on my spreadsheet of posters next to your name that you can’t comprehend simple ideas despite being led to them.

It doesn’t though, that’s still capitalism.

People buying overpriced garbage has nothing to do with a system of government. Companies are going to market to what’s popular. That’s business 101.

Wow, it’s almost like I said the same thing, just not in a way a third grader would understand. Figured fifth grade reading comprehension was something you could handle.

Thanks for disagreeing with me to state. . . exactly what I stated.

Except you said that socialism plays a role, and it doesn’t.

Nothing about any of those situations has to do with socialism.

Nothing about the world of Warcraft situation has to do with socialism

Socialism being something they can pretend to pander to in order to drive up their profit margins by merely existing influences the decision to do this. There’s a phrase for that kind of interaction, I think it’s “playing a role in something.”

Read the above, well if you can. Based on your replies I’m thoroughly convinced you actually can’t. Are you from Oregon perhaps? I heard they had to lower the literacy requirements for students to pass high school there. That might be an important detail for you disclose.

Jeesh, I haven’t even heard some of those and am surprised just how crude they really are. I’m definitely ok with them being removed.

i never liked these jokes anyway. Also the flirts. It’s like the same guys that were attacking the women in wow workplace made up these jokes and approved them, thinking they were really funny and tasteful. I am glad wow is cleaning up.

You are a strange little forum alt my dude.

I’m gonna say again that nothing you said has anything to do with socialism. Socialism has nothing do with marketing tactics or world of warcraft.

I won’t be responding to you further.

I didn’t say it did you dunce. I actually can’t tell if you’re deliberately gaslighting at this point or actually this soft in the head. THIS is where we are. I said, multiple times that it wasn’t influencing policy directly but was influencing illusion to drive sales, ergo feeding into Capitalism.

As an aside, why am I bothering to explain this to you? Didn’t get it the first three times, odds are the fourth isn’t going to yield any differing result.

You weren’t responding to me in the first place, you were deliberately misreading what I said and restating irrelevant statements. A response actually tackles the subject matter, you’ve yet to actually do this very simple task.

For a guy that tells others to “read a book” maybe you should take your own advice. You can’t even comprehend simple sentences. Start small, maybe read something like Three Billy Goats Gruff.

No. They are not. And it’s not because everybody who disagrees with you hasn’t been banned from the game. It’s because they don’t care what players want. If we would disagree with their long-term plan, in their eyes we are wrong and they are right.

If they wanted to design a game for the playerbase they have, there are plenty of ways for them to get legitimate customer feedback. But they don’t. They have no interest in what players might be willing to pay for in a game, which is why they’re in such a mess right now.

I don’t know if I should tip my hat to you for digging up all these threads and like, doing a peacock flex chest type thing like “LoOoOk at AlLlLL ThEseSE ThrEaaDds” or like, be sad you had the time to go dig them up and post this.

I mean its something, either proud or sad but you, you sure did get something.

There’s a recommender engine that suggests threads that are similar to your title when you start typing out the post body. I usually use this to see if there’s any existing info that someone has already taken the time to explain or research. So it’s not like they don’t know they’re just adding more spam tbh.
