Like many, I think I would quit.

The story and lore have never been something I have paid much attention to, but Shadowlands was pretty egregious. What I thought it was going to be and what it was were so incredibly far from each other. You have Azeroth, this world that is rich with history, even from a fictional vantage point and instead of building off thatā€¦ they create some of the most unlikable characters ever.

I thought Shadowlands would be a greatest hits tour. Meeting up with all the old kings and warchiefs. All the old heroes. Maybe learn more about Azeroth in general. I mean, there is just insane potential to build off of and they squandered it. I already hated the idea of ā€˜goingā€™ to the afterlife. Shadowlands SHOULD have been more like purgatory. It should have been the inbetween. Not quite living but not quite dead. A place to be judged. Instead itā€™s literally the end and we had daily quests literally in Azeroth hell.

The people who wrote the story for Shadowlands were way to disconnected from the story of WoW and were just pushing some woke garbage.

I did quit wow and shadowlands for almost a year, I missed the gameplay. I am now am bringing up new alts that I have never tried before. I am playing the older stuff, trying to stay away from SL as much as possible, only to level to 60. Played Bastion WAY to much.

No, it was Shadowlands. Now, you may not have like it, but it was Shadowlands. Before that was Battle for Azeroth.
