Exactly and then I would have upgraded my gear over 610 for the heroic set. Because I didn’t and they reset it early when they cleared stated March 4th.
This is one big bummer. I would love to be able to upgrade my S1 gear and use the Cat for free then. That would remedy the issue, at least in my case.
Leaving this out of all communication about season 2 is just criminal. You knew it was going to happen and you left it out so people would continue to log in and play.
No excuse for this brand of incompetence.

Good then you shouldnt feel bad when you cant do stuff any more.
The other slap in the face for me is not being able to upgrade the vault gear this week, but then getting the new purple triangle quest to upgrade a piece of gear…for season 2.

Please stop making anything from season 1 end even one moment prior to the servers going down for the patch. It’s led to a frustrating experience several season change patches in a row right in the middle of my playing time. This is a global game and people play around the clock. Let seasons change when the servers go down for maintenance, not a moment before. I’ve come to dread the night before the patch because I’m wondering what annoying bugs will pop up with gear upgrades and tier set conversions this time right in the middle of my playing time when I’m typically in a key (10pm pst). Whenever a season change happens, it needs to happen during maintenance- not a single moment before.
Changing seasons any time before the servers going down has caused very annoying bugs that could be prevented without this arbitrary 10pm deadline right in the middle of my playing time. DF season 3 and season 4 end - I got out of keys to discover that I could no longer upgrade my gear. I was in the middle of a key both times. I was upset both times. TWW season 1 end - my gear was still showing as upgradable at 11pm pst, but I couldn’t convert crests to upgrade it. I could buy the upgrade item for 45 runed crests last night, but I was not able to use it to get the upgraded crests, leaving me irritated then as well. People play this game around the clock and it needs to respect that instead of having some arbitrary deadline right in the middle of when players are busy playing your game.

Playing a class without it’s ability sounds is completely underwhelming and ruining the experience.
Just copy over the sound ID numbers already! It’s been several months now!

Because it would be absolutely game breaking if someone gained two item levels this week. The system would collapse, cats would lay with dogs, Gnomes with Tauren. It would be madness I tell you!
Thankfully we have the devs looking out for us, and their base desire to punish us for anything wherever possible to save us from disaster.

Told you… what exactly?
That the new season is going to prevent old season stuff to be upgradeable? You know, like it has always been like ever since we started getting upgradeable gear in Shadowlands and then DF?
This is what happens when you go from one season to the next: old seasonal stuff gets disabled to a certain extent, and we were told of when the season would go from season 1 to season 2.
Nothing about this is surprising.
Game isn’t in a new season lol.

Yes it has. I can catalyze SL and DF gear with no charges.
This is how it worked for basically all of Dragonflight, and going all the way back to Shadowlands if we count valor, so I don’t know why people are surprised anymore.

Correct. But the old season has ended. That’s the point.
The start of a season and the end of an older season doesn’t have, and as far as I can remember hasn’t ever in WoW, coincided. Especially not when we get new dungeons and, in this case, Delves.
Just convert all previous season gear to be upgradable with just valorstones

Same here - everything led us (or me) to believe it wasn’t until March… but no Blizz can’t be transparent.
You can still get Season 1 achievements for raid, dungeons, delves. The ONLY thing they communicated as going away today was the M+ title. Season 1 has NOT ended.
