Manapearls is more annoying tbh. They are both bad, don’t get me wrong, but I can at least try to make an argument for war resources since I can use those for rerolls and whatnot.
atleast you can use manapearls for essences. comes in very handy for alts
The essences you will have more than enough pearls for from rep grinding? You get the 50 required for Rank 3 Naz essences from the intro to Naz alone almost.

wait i think you have to use the 20 from jaina to open the dailies.
It is a long way to Revered and 2-3 weeks worth of dailies gives a lot of pearls whether you want it to or not. Even 3 Mardarva’s Labs gives 33 or whatever.
Also, you can straight up hoard the 20 they give you and not do the quest to upgrade benthic gear. Isn’t necessary for anything. The only gates are follower rep (level 3 to continue the quest chain) and then naz rep at like Honored or something to unlock the raid quest to kill Azshara.
I popped on WM and did the active assault in Drustvar and ended up with 60 conquest. So… 8 more of em I guess… it probably is better than waiting for the emissary - I’d have had the wep by now for sure.

Horde have just had bad luck. Since 8.3 hit, Alliance have had 1 weapon emissary.
Incidentally, this isn’t the first time this happened.
At one of the previous major patches (I think 8.2), Horde had 3 weapon emissaries before Alliance saw their first, maybe 5-6 weeks after the patch hit.
