So umm.. For Paladins

Just so you know the reckoning /sit build doesn’t work in beta at all. That was just a private server bug all along. It will still trigger if you get crit though.

Well it was actually a vanilla wow bug that they changed pretty quick once a pally took down kazzak.

Did they actually fix that (reck procs with sit/stand)? Cuz people were able to get it to work on the beta about a month ago.

Yeah, besides that probably not working in live and not being worth the effort anyway or necessary. It’s still a pretty good guide I think.

In general it will matter very little, unlike many other classes paladins excel at being sturdy, which means while another class might want/need to run if they get an add or two… a paladin can often power through it.

There are three areas you need to look at when comparing kill speeds / grind speeds.

  1. Time to Target - How long does it take to get to a target (or from one to the next)
  2. Time to Kill - how long does it take to kill a mob
  3. Time to Regen - How long after killing a target until you are ready to engage again.

The goal, the perfect grinding spec, would have 3 and 1 being equal, while 2 was as high as possible. Which would mean that any health/mana lost during a kill would fully regen by the time you reached the next target.

As far specs go, go with whatever works for you, in the grand scheme of things it actually will make very little difference.

Lets say SoC allows you to kill a mob 3 seconds faster, if you took more damage and had to cast an extra heal… was it really better?

Just play with whatever seems fun to you.

We have to wait until the sims come out.
