I’m not clueless. I get the theme, especially for Spriest. Doesn’t make it any less ugly.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Somewhere out there a Blizzard artist fist pumps because he nailed the emotions you should be feeling.
You dropped your arm. Here you go \
You’re saying gearing up is abusing mechanics?
Do you know you’re playing a MMO which revolves around gear?
Thanks man, now I can play armS.
O M G ! Gear matters
If you have read any of the qq posts about twinks and gear you should’ve concluded that the avoiding of established adjectives and abusing the power obtained by having “better” gear to troll/grief players is abusing the game mechanics.
To steam roll a team by means of meeting the BG objectives isn’t the problem players are having with twinks (atleast not primarily); It’s the avoidance of meeting the instance objectives to graveyard farm, emote spam and drag out the match to the allotted duration when it isn’t necessary nor beneficial to do so.
The twinks that are conducting themselves in this despicable manner aren’t only ruining the experience for the apposite faction but they are robbing their leveling team mates f the spoils from a complete victory. The only ones getting anything out of these encounters are the twinks, what little or great enjoyment they are experiencing.
It’s just sad people try to enable these things in the name of working as intended
In other words, PvP happened in a BG.
GY camping is not against the rules.
PvP’ing in a BG till time runs out is not against the rules.
Emote spamming is lame report them for it.
Your claim that only twinks do this shows you don’t PvP at any level.
Levelers are free to not queue for PvP if it bothers them to fight for 15/20 mins and quest instead.
The pvp is happening counter. I needed that. Thanks I haven’t seen that enough.
Griefing is griefing be it in Dungeons, raids or Battlegrounds. Calling it any other name and trying to say its allowed because it is in the game doesn’t mean it’s as intended.
Btw I have over 12 twinks do what you want with that information
I’m still waiting for anyone to explain how PvP is griefing.
Claiming it’s not intended means nothing. That’s just an opinion.
Ever wonder if scientists are searching for the cure to the wrong things sometimes? I do. There are a few things that I would bump straight to she top of the to do list. Not an attack on you or anything; your post just brought that thought to my head while I pondered your statement.
Nothing like it whatsoever.
…I don’t understand how with a low level “twink” this is bad but it’s ok with a maxed out level 120…this just boggles my mind…
So by your logic, anybody who’d like to level via BGs because they enjoy PvP more than questing (the more populous group in below-cap BGs) are just boned unless they turn XP off and gear up (a process that’s both time and gold intensive) every time they ding into a bracket, even though they won’t stay in said bracket for more than 20 games once they turn XP back on?
Essentially, you’re saying the only ones who should PvP in below-cap brackets are those with not only the intent of twinking in specific bracket, but also the coffers to support such an endeavor. That’s just ridiculous, especially for people leveling alts on servers where they only have a single lowbie character and at most have access to enchanted heirlooms.
Reading over my post again, perhaps the issue lies less in twinking itself and more with bad accessibility to BiS items through various brackets. As it stands, many items are impractical to purchase or otherwise earn for levelers and only make sense for twinks that plan on living in the particular bracket for the rest of eternity.
This could be remedied with vastly expanded PvP gear vendors. For brackets below 60, add blue or epic quality items to fill in non-heirloom slots that are BiS or close to BiS and above 60, tweak the available PvP gear to be the best you can get for that level range. While it wouldn’t help brand new players a whole lot, it’d be extremely helpful for alt levelers: I could just send the stacks of marks of honor sitting and gathering dust on my 120 characters to my alts and have reasonably competitive gear for each bracket.
Allow me to retort, for example, if you are creating a level 20 allied race and you don’t upgrade any gear except from doing bg’s , you are in for a world of hurt. I have numerous screenshots of other characters missing rings, neck, enchants. The max ilvl for 30-39 bracket is roughly 43-44. They are coming in with ilvl 26 which is the gear they were issued upon creation of that character. Surely you don’t think that is acceptable. IF you are leveling alts then you should be able to at least afford the first level of heirlooms and be able to at least enchant those heirlooms with the best possible enchants that you can. They are re-usable on other alts so why would you not do this?
Other than that, there are 4 pieces of gear that you need to upgrade on a continuous basis, gloves, wrist, feet, and waist. That’s it. If you can’t manage to keep them upgraded, I don’t know what to tell you.
If you’re leveling through BGs alone, it’s harder than you’d think. Blues are exceptionally rare in BG loot boxes and it’s up to the RNG gods to give you an item for a slot you actually need.
And once again, if you have alts scattered across servers (like I do) it’s likely that anything on the AH is priced far beyond what your alt can afford.
waist and feet can be covered by tokens from pvp vendors. That leaves gloves and wrists.
We have WSG, AV, AB vendors which sell (as before) excellent pieces, along with full sets available at lvl 60 in the main cities.
Take another look at the stats on crafted items for 1-60 bracket, many of them are actual close to Best in Slot choices.
BOE items were also reworked in order to increase the numbers of entry level options. Every item can potentially be an upgrade.
This was changed with the massive overhaul that is BFA.
Once lvl 70-100 we are given easy access to numerous PVP season sets, which are stacked with useful stats/sockets.
(PVP resil, PVP power replaced with useful stats in BFA.)
Best in slot gems are also available from vendors to make these socket sets even better.
Which are available for Marks of Honor.
It has never been easier to viably gear a custom character, as it is now.
Why is it that people feel battlegrounds are supposed to be a sanctuary for players who want to level up? Currently the only way to pvp is to battleground. There is no low level world pvp, that has been killed.
If you want xp and not have to deal with xp off you can quest or dungeon. If you decide hey I want to pvp, the do so, but BFA wants to make gear matter. Low level pvp = gear matters. It’s not for leveling it’s for pvp, and while doing so you can earn XP. I think that’s a extremely fair system for all.
