Every tank only wants to do the bosses which don’t count for the complete 5 timewalking dungeons quest and not actually the ones that do? I’m finding that unlikely.
Get in a basket and make lunch. You’ll passively fill the bar faster than you can throw together a ham and cheese.
I am leveling BY dungeons. For ME doing dungeons is the fasest/easiest way WITHOUT going OUT of my way to do it.
False. MANY tanks are skipping at least 1 required boss and therefore NOT giving the completion to others - either they already finished the quest, or they are leveling/low level and don’t care about the quest.
I’ve levelled 2 characters via TW dungeons and /treat buckets, latest one got to 80, today. I have got completion for every single dungeon, in XP and the “complete 5” quest. This is both Classic and TBC.
Now would they given me completion for that extra 10% xp quests? No idea as there are a multitude of ways to get that.
But at the same time YOU want tanks to go out of THEIR way so you can get YOUR completion vs THEIR completion done that could essentially be done another way that:
The NORMAL (non bonus) bosses should not even BE skippable!! If you want to queue dungeons, do the whole dungeon. Again this is why the FINAL boss should be immune unless you do the other MAIN/REQUIRED bosses that are REQUIRED in order for quest completion to count!
In cata, for tides if you want the mind control boss you can ask. Most times the tank will say sure…If you don’t ask, well most have no issues going left to final boss with now no mind control boss.
BRC if you ahve no one below 83…you will need to ask for Beauty. We’ve all done the quest and will take the speedier run. If somehow quest was not done for 1 dude, speak up or its a skip really.
From a tanks perspective, we just want to finish the weekly requirement as fast as possible, just like everyone else. If a tank is skipping a boss that counts for completion, I can promise you it’s not intentional, they just don’t know the dungeon. You have to remember that the ones from the start of the event and the current timewalking dungeons are all almost two decades old. It was even worse with the classic dungeons, because they were made so open-ended and had multiple paths, especially ZF. The vast majority of the playerbase, and by extension the majority of the tanks, were not playing the game at the time, so are unaware that the bosses are required for completion, much less where they are or how to get there(the amount of people I come across in this game that seem to be entirely unaware that they have a map that shows where everything is and it’s accessible with a single keystroke is absolutely mindblowing).
I would say the onus is on Blizzard to do something about this, blaming the players that are largely just genuinely ignorant, for good reason, is a waste of energy.
Why don’t you just level a tank yourself, then you can be the shining beacon of hope for other players who are being forced to suffer at the whims of these selfish tanks.
