Kind of got left in charge of silvermoon when Kael left, and the role evolved.

Ranger-General is currently Halduron Brightwing. The two positions have always been divorced.

Regent Lord is not a title just given to a general. Kael left him in charge of the throne before he went to Outland. Kael, not Sylvanas, would have to come back for Lor’themar to lose his role.
Regent Lord is the title for someone who sits on the throne until royalty returns.

The position that really needs filled is leader of the Forsaken. And nothing is saying so far if when Sylvanas has her soul pieced together that she is alive again. She might remain undead.

They pushed the “wait and see what happens” far more than they ever should have the moment people were already guessing it. They were hyping up the moment and even the people physically at Blizzcon groaned more than cheered when it was finally revealed.
The moment people started predicting the story of theirs, they should’ve pulled back on hyping it up for Blizzcon. But they didn’t, and left a good many people annoyed.

Isn’t someone supposed to never leave Shadowlands after this expansion? One of the big lore characters? I say we “redeem” Sylvanas and send her off into the wide blue yonder never to bother us again with her grating voice.

True, but it’s not going to be Sylvanas that leads them. She’s probably going to take over for the Jailer. Matter of fact I’ll be so bold & say I guarantee that’s what’ll happen. Hopefully I’m wrong.
I don’t think so anymore. I think it’s been obvious for a while and even more obvious with the newest details, they are fully redeeming Sylvie.
She’s a big character for them on a lot of merchandise.
