It is when you have 1000 mega casuals
Hackers I grant you, that risk has always been present with guild banks and such.
As to the other two: hang with friends for whom the bonds of social loyalty go beyond the game. Just like anything pre-formed in WoW, you “PUG” at your own risk.
The Housing system continues the support of the two lanes of WoW that they’ve been supporting more exclusively in recent expansions: Play with (actual) friends or play alone. The “community at large” is the weak spot that WoW can’t fix.
That’s another good question, but one that I actually don’t have the answers to. Gotta ask Blizzard that one.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get that option. The only option for that is to be in a public neighborhood in one of the tucked away plots.
It is indeed a good question. For example, what happens if you meet the number to start with, lose members, and drop below the number?
LOL
Because that isnt the way Blizzard is designing this system? They do say “Some plots are placed far away from everything for the hermits among us” so you could at least get a house right away from everyone else if you wanted to.
If you get kicked, it’s not like you lose your house. It just packs up and you move to a new plot.
- If your GM is unhinged, find a better guild?
- Hackers is always going to be a problem - that’s sadly not a thing that can be fixed. Best thing one can do is “Try to not get hacked” … sadly.
- Same as the first point.
Click on your character Portrait in the top-corner > “Character-figure-button” > Preferences > Users > Click “Add” and type in “Sendryn” > Click on Sendryn’s character from the drop down list that appears > Select your preferable timeframe.
It is a bit of a hassle to do this for people with hidden profiles but it only gets annoying if you get multiple people in a row you gotta do this with. When it is just the odd-ball here and there, it only takes 10-20 seconds to do.
Still not great but it means that you can block people with hidden profiles.
I underlined the section that’s relevant to you, but in short… there is a good reason for it.
I just hope I can put up a big ol sign on the front lawn saying
“GET OFF MY LAWN!” but still have like a rocking chair on the front porch. Like I want to talk to you, but if you look at me the first thing Ima yelll is “WHATCHU LOOKIN AT!”
Well, we’ll see what decorations we’ll get but… sorta?
This is my concern, too.
And what happens if only a handful in my guild want to have a house, but not enough to keep the neighborhood going? Are the rest of us just screwed out of our neighborhood together? Do I have to beg people to interact with housing?
I’m also still pissed it’s a Horde and Alliance neighborhood when guilds are cross faction. So now I have to choose which neighborhood we use and the opposite faction players that wanted their faction neighborhood just got the middle finger.
We bulldoze your houses, put in a new interstate.
I think you’re underestimating Blizz’ greed here.
While I don’t expect it to be anything other than gold, it’ll probably be several hundred thousand… probably around a token or two. A refund would be nice, but I have my doubts on that for the same reason.
This will be the ultimate gold sink.
I certainly hope so.
The very first article told us that everyone gets a house that wants a house and there is no exorbitant cost.
I think this could be a fun thing. If it’s not heavily instanced, it could be.
We’ll see what they do with it.
I imagine everyone would get a basic house, as a feature of the expansion. But decorations/new models earned thru endeavors or shop purchases.
I also hope theres a way to sync which neighborhood phase you’re getting a house in with a friend, or if not in the same neighborhood… how will it look to go visit them?
Will we be able to group together to do the events inside a neighborhood during the events there? OR will we have to do it seperately?
Define “exorbitant”.
The plots will be obtainable to players who want them, but what Blizz would consider “reasonable” could be a bigger price tag than you’re expecting. Especially if they’re looking at it on a “per account” basis.
In b4 official narrative- guild leaders will be removed for a guild “council” since all leaders must be eradicated and everything must be a domecrazee
I think your helmet is on too tight there, pal.
