Implication is for fools and liars. I don’t like the change…people keep trying to say its good. I ask why the change is a good thing and how I benefit and …crickets. Then your response it to try to intellectually leap frog and say…what?
Ok, I’ll remind Blizzard to ask for your opinion before they make any changes.
Quite frankly, it’s not a change that actually matters. You’ll level just as fast, if not as fast as you used to, due to the reduced time its taking to level, and you’ll have bonuses to replace it.
It’s a still a net positive for you at the end of the day.
Blizzard have nerfed the heirlooms twice now and they only did it to make people mad.
That was an investment of time and effort so yeah, technically. I just haven’t asked for a refund for anything in this thread …
Sure made me mad
I would argue that the change isn’t “good”.
It’s neutral.
It doesn’t benefit anyone.
But it doesn’t hurt anyone either.
It’s simply Blizzard removing an effect that speeds up leveling because they’re speeding up leveling as a baseline rule going forward. They have deemed it unnecessary to have a leveling speedboost on top of the leveling speedboost going into the design of the game starting with Shadowlands.
No notable gain.
No loss.
No it isn’t. They keep time gating things, piece mealing flying and changing things just…because or to players detriment.
I never claimed it was a huge change that mattered. I stated an opinion and people just attack random crap and argue semantics while refusing to simply answer an honest question. Thanks though for trying to condescend and pull the “I’ll remind blizzard to ask you.” I hope they ask me. I have been around a long time and WAS a faithful customer. The crap they have pulled since last EXP has changed this.
How many times do you have to be told that you couldn’t originally buy heirlooms with gold?
- Heirlooms were added in patch 3.0.3 and you purchased them with Justice Points or Honor Points.
- Heirloom legs were not added until patch 5.0.4
- The first tier of Heirloom upgrade tokens were not purchasable until patch 5.2.0
- The heirloom upgrade tier system, along with the ability to purchase them for gold, was added in patch 6.1.0 (the first major patch of Warlords of Draenor)
So please explain to everyone how your investments/money/tradeskills helped you afford heirlooms 15 years ago when you couldn’t even buy heirlooms with gold until 5 years ago.
you don’t have to like it.
i don’t think i’ve seen anyone say the change is “good”… just a bunch of people who accept that change is a constant part of the game.
wow forums: “NOOO YOU CAN’T NERF MY HEIRLOOM EXP TO COMPENSATE A BOOST TO LEVELING SPEED”
me leveling a dozen toons through pandaria: “haha exp levels go ding”
You are being deliberately obtuse. I never said I could buy looms with gold I invested time to earn them and…you know what? I give up with you. Spin.
So, you are saying people aren’t mad about it? Quite frankly the speed of leveling will keep changing and getting longer as time goes forward.
I dont mind the change, if y’all didn’t do Korraks Revenge to level alts when it was out then sux2bU
More that I’m honestly not bothered by it. I get why Blizz is doing what they’re doing, I’ll live.
At the very worst, it’s a zero sum change that puts newer players closer on par with veterans in leveling speed, if not power.
As far as I’m concerned, Shadowlands leveling will be faster than current leveling, so whether or not my Heirlooms say “XP is increased by 10%” doesn’t really worry me so long as the end result is the same (or better).
I am glad to hear you will live!
That’s what I’m getting at. So if the change isn’t good, and no one (figuratively) likes it, and everyone has to just accept it…Why am I getting piled on for not having a S$#% eating grin on while Blizz is doing it?
your right they are not as good they are probably better in the long run since from what ive seen people have always complained about them being not better then the quest gear they were supposed to replace. now that ive looked at the changes the set bonus looks to address that. the slower rest xp consumption will probably when combined with the fact that leveling is faster will cover the xp loss.
either way its not a real big deal nor was really that deep a gold sink
No, I am calling you out for your lies.
You are making stuff up, exaggerating your position to make it seem like this is some HUGE task that you devoted 15 years of time and gold to accomplish, when at best, the earliest you could have started investing your gold into this system was 5 years ago.
Which makes me wonder what else you’re lying about here, because once you start lying and creating exaggerated half-truths, people are going to wonder if anything you’re saying is honest, or whether it’s all made up so you can claim a high-ground position you’re not entitled to.
Not the point man. What about toons in the future? You going to be ok if they take something you like about the game and invested time/money/gold into and nerf/change it? Or will you smile and be glad something sucks?
