Legion even had Trial of Valor, 3 raids for 1 tier.
Eh, this one is just weird compared to all those
Those were a month or more between, this is a couple weeks, it leads to a bunch of random questions
when it wasnt time gated? everything is time gated
tell me something that is not time gated
Raiding normally, unless you only do lfr
dont you have to wait 1 week to start raiding?
That’s not a timegate in my eyes, that’s just a period of rest
Time gates are like sunwell where you have a boss or two, but have to wait for the next boss, or this
I wouldn’t even call things like emerald nightmare and nighthold time gates because while they are the same tier, they felt like two separate tiers (and they really were in essence, different ilvls, unrelated stories, etc)
This feels like a straight up timegate, like hof will be all 9 bosses most likely
Yeah, they weren’t active at the same time.
I have no idea why you thought this was accurate.
Either way, they should be functionally very different.
“When was the game not time gated?”
Vanilla through WoD. I don’t think people realize how easy it was to walk into BWL and collect loot back then.
MC was a rush job, broken, the itemization all had to be redone, BWL was rushed out the door, the tier was all over the place like dropping off Ony even though they originally didn’t intended to do that, everything was all over the place.
You could get your full tier out of MC in one day if all of it dropped. My Sham in Era had full AQ tier and full Naxx tier, it didn’t take me months to acquire it, when I joined the guild all the shamans were basically geared already. That’s not even possible anymore, you’re never finished gearing anymore.
Raids in TBC and Wrath were HEAVILY timegated
you got 2-3 drops per boss, are you smoking something? because that only happened long after MC was no longer main content
They were in Wrath, Cata, and MoP
