So the forecast is 114° tomorrow

Same here! Just woke up at 2:10 am and it’s still 33 C in my basement suite. When I get to work at 8:00 am, I’m sure the warehouse is going to be 30+ C

Can’t wait to get back to Winterspring!

They’re Eastern not Central.

Wow, learn your time zones!!

I hope you people aren’t Canadians. We weren’t talking about ‘time zones’.

It did and it’s so nice

Within a few hours it dropped like 30 degrees. You could almost feel it getting colder

So strange

It topped out at 12c here today (about 50 freedom degrees).

I’m glad I’m not in the US.

We’ve had an unusually cool couple of weeks and the summer as a whole here in the Midwest.

Ok this made me laugh lol

Our bill is monthly. Sorry I don’t always log on the forums

So the forecast is 114° tomorrow

Stay on the heading for about 2000km…you’ll hit Turks and Caicos.

Holy smokes, they always say Australia has the world highest power bill but most of mine are like $300-$400 for 3 months, and 500 bucks in the USA is worth more than 500 in Australia

That is wild

over here it’s like 87’s-89’s but the biggest issue is the humidity. like 50+% humidity just makes it hell. for me though it’s always hot since i work as a cook. everything is on blast and our vents are so poop they really don’t do their job and our company is so cheap they are supposed to fix the AC but haven’t for the past year even the damn fans don’t run anymore.

if i am not mistaken i am ALMOST certain they are deliberately leaving everything off because it saves money yet it makes no sense because they spend money making things look nice outside which also makes sense in the way that yea you want people to come and move in but when they do come they don’t stay long because they see the true side of the company.

America: The new Australia.

Seriously though, go swimming or something if you haven’t access to AC, and just stay in if you do.

If you can avoid going outside for more than 30-45 min, then don’t, especially at 114 deg that spells heat exhaustion, heat stress or possibly heat stroke. A dozen of people have been reported dead due to this heatwave and many hospitalized.

Stay hydrated, 30 min maximum of light work (if it is absolutely necessary you need to be outside), take breaks often. Most of all, DON’T LEAVE Elderly, Children or Pets inside your vehicle for ANY amount of time. It may be 114 deg outside, but inside your vehicle it’s another 10-15 degrees. They WILL DIE. It baffles me how people think it’s “ok” just for 5 min to leave people or pets inside the vehicle when it’s that hot, even in the 90’s ppl do this. It’s a wrongful death, it’s murder for one and 100% neglect, you will go to prison for involuntary manslaughter. You’re an ADULT, you should know this like the back of your hand, it’s common sense. If it’s too hot for YOU, it’s too hot for THEM.

What I learned in basic training is that you can deal with a ridiculous amount of heat and humidity by just drinking enough water.

You won’t be necessarily be comfortable, but you can endure without significant issues.
Well, as long as whenever you go to sleep you’re not in that kind of crazy temperature. The one time I was a heat casualty was because I took a nap in my tent and couldn’t drink water while I was asleep.
