So since they confirmed RDF for ICC

While this is easily the best part of RDF it’s also one of the worst.

Zoomers won’t be able to handle a 30 second break. You get an impatient tank and they will ruin your day. One of the main draws for me to the Classic era games are the required patience. It takes time to do anything! Those that have an inability to wait get filtered out real quick.

If you wipe in RDF or hit a wall, the group will fall apart. Whereas in a normal group people are more likely to continue on since they’ve already invested significant time. If you’re not 15 years tenured in the game you will learn real quick how those players want to execute the dungeons, else you’ll be replaced.

If you’re hitting a wall in Wrath Heroics, you have bigger problems.

It was a simple, smooth experience back in the day.

Right? they were never hard

Even now I carry a tank set with me. You just never know.

Of all of the negative bs comments that i have seen ppl claim related to rdf, the only single one that i have agreed with is that ppl tend to leave at any sign of trouble. That never happened before rdf from my experiences. But, even that is happening now. Ppl will leave raids even. It is very common and i dont think rdf is going to add to it. Also, whenever you lose someone in rdf, including a tank, your group gets moved to the top of the list and you get 1st priority to be fillled and it doesnt take long.

Back in original tbc, when someone had to leave, the first thing they did was apologize like crazy for having to leave. Then someone would have to hearth back to a city to spam trade for a replacement then fly back and run half way through the instance. And then wait a few more minutes cause someone probably went afk while they were waiting.

Rdf is a godsend and only an idiot would prefer to not have it.

I hope those ppl that were against it will continue to not use it and enjoy thier wait times.

I am curious if prices will be as high as they even were back in original. Its not bis. There will be a whole lot more available on the mega servers. But there is a lot of money in the economy and with rdf, a lot more alts will be hitting 80 and will want a good weapin right away. Sonthis could be expensive af.

Heroics sure, but whose doing heroics? Fairly certain the majority of the player base is doing Heroic++ and assumingly +++ come ICC.

99% sure people aren’t running heroics. They’re doing betas now and whatever they decide to name the next h+++.

And we’ll never know if it’s because of RDF.

Yeah but you’re playing incorrectly according to the people who want you to spend gold at their fomo GDKPs

But you don’t even need that crap once RDF and the old Emblem system is added (if that’s happening). You can just chill in regular Heroics and grind Emblems.

There is portals to all cata areas once you complete the zone. Set hearth to sw use port to uldum. Hearthstones have 15 CDs in cata once guilds unlock the perk.

I imagine there’ll be a good number of players collecting 14 emblems a week versus ~0 now because regular heroics are chill, worth the time spent, and no longer obscured by an ineffective UI.

14 Frost. As much Triumph as you can grind.

Ineffective UI? Pretty sure most capable players can use it without error.

The majority of active players will complete the dungeons at the highest difficulty should it only have one lockout.

Oh the battered hilt is going to be pricey. Even some of the old BoEs are 4k. New ones are 12k-15k.

The more gold in circulation the pricier things are and bots have just been pumping gold into servers.

You get your two daily Frost just from doing a random Heroic. So even the most hardcore raiders will at least do that. But for fresh 80s, or alts, or just casuals who don’t want to raid…they can just crush chill, random Heroics all day for Emblems of Triumph. The system was so much better as it gave players choice and unlocked a playstyle that some preferred.

Whether people prefer progressive scaling difficulty in dungeons accompanied by better drops (aka Wrath Mythics) was never the issue to me. It’s simply not Wrath. And the Wrath system did the same job without promoting toxic gatekeeping. Because, like it or not, Wrath Heroics were faceroll. If I wanted challenging dungeon content, I’d just play Retail.

Are they unable to do that as is?

Yes. RDF removes the daily lockout.
