If we get a new class next expansion shaman tank is unlikely. But if we don’t I can see it. We should’ve gotten it this expansion tbh. If they can’t release a new class every expansion they can at least add shaman tank

Any cases of undead paladins are a result of someone not understanding what Light does to undead, not something being teased.
Hopefully one day

Shaman’s could tank in 'nilla
Shamans still have rockbiter baiting us every single day
It thematically makes a lot of sense
Shaman tank in follower dungeons
Shaman tank spec in SoD
It’s been asked about for decades and it’s probably top of the list for most wanted additional spec

Shaman Tank would essentially be Captain America. It might cause… escalation.
Next thing we know, fingers are snapping.
But why add it? Shaman cant tank. That took extra effort.
I would much rather see rogue’s Outlaw spec renamed to Swashbuckler and made into a tank spec. Think of all the old Zorro and similar movies, swashbucklers could tank anything because nobody ever hit them.
They didn’t. Some people just love to assume things that are not there, and they get mad when reality doesn’t live up to their head cannon.

That would be awesome, I don’t know why dps classes need 3 dps specs anyways, 1 is always good and the rest are usually trash anyways

They didn’t. Folks are imagining that they were adding it as a specialization simply because some folks can’t accept that shaman tanks aren’t a thing. Unless you play SoD, Shaman tanks ain’t a thing - not even in Classic where “aggro tanking” is something shamans were doing.
Baelgrim is a NPC that tanked in order to tutorialize follower dungeons and to carry the story forward. That’s all there is to it.
Go play Season of Discovery then. Outlaw isn’t a tanking specialization and no rogues are asking for it, because those who do - they are busy playing SoD.

I do think the SoD specs are interesting, but yeah there’s no proof they’re coming into Retail at all.
It fits neatly into Classic, but in Retail we’ve already got tons of specs/classes.
It makes sense to me, honestly.
Look at Freya. She’s a construct.
Maybe there’s Earthen followers of Freya or something.
Also, they introduced us to ‘Earthen animals’ like Ramoliths and those sheep-things.

Then we just start removing class lore.
Sorta like kul tiran shaman.
Freya wasnt a druid. And isnt indicative of earthen druids being a thing.
We’d have to start with Vanilla and Undead Priests being able to use the light in any capacity, if we’re being honest.
Playable choices have always stepped on lore to some extent.
“Goblins shouldn’t be Shaman” is also a common thing people say.
