No, its NOT.
BLIZZARD SET THE SPEED LIMIT!
Then they LOWERED it so we have to take longer getting where we’re going.
Sorry but your comparison was absurd. Doesnt matter if you think it was great. It wasnt. For YOU it may be a small change. YOU may quest all day in BfA. For those of US who FARM all day long this was a HUGE change that absolutely will slow us down, eating our time better spent FARMING instead of TRAVELING to multiple expansions all day long.
And the bigger absurdity is there was no reason to remove these portals. Sorry. there wasnt, and it doesnt matter how a few alts in here try to defend it
well, looks like theyre preparing for more bad news over their laying off 800 employees. Theyre prepping their investors from what Ive read letting them know rocky roads are ahead.
Guess thats what happens when a company doesnt run their business right.
Yeah. I know what you mean. That crazy lying internet
Activision Admits Recent Layoffs “Could Negatively Impact Business”
While we believe this restructuring plan will enable us to provide better opportunities for talent, and greater expertise and scale on behalf of our business units, our ability to achieve the desired and anticipated benefits from the restructuring plan within our desired and expected timeframe is subject to many estimates and assumptions, and the actual savings and timing for those savings may vary materially based on factors such as local labour regulations, negotiations with third parties, and operational requirements. These estimates and assumptions are also subject to significant economic, competitive and other uncertainties, some of which are beyond our control.
Further, there can be no assurance that our business will be more efficient or effective than prior to implementation of the plan, or that additional restructuring plans will not be required or implemented in the future. The implementation of this restructuring plan may also be costly and disruptive to our business or have other negative consequences, such as attrition beyond our planned reduction in workforce or negative impacts on employee morale and productivity, or on our ability to attract and retain highly skilled employees. Any of these consequences could negatively impact our business."
sounds like prepping investors for bad news to me.
Unlike some, I actually spend a little time reading the news.
youre right…FACTS make right. Plain and simple.
Your joke comparison was just that, a joke.
Blizzard set the speed limit to 55 then expect the player base to be ok with dropping it to 35. Sorry aint happening.
Funny thing is that this is blowing up all over the web. This aint going away and Blizzard will reverse it or remedy it somehow, just like they were FORCED to do with flight.
Im still waiting for someone to show me proof that this change was even needed to begin with.
Care to give it a shot?
The speed limit analogy isn’t great. At least when you’re driving 35 you’res till doing something.
This will be more like you had a 15 minute commute and now they added a traffic light in the middle that is always red and lasts for 5 minutes. And all you can do is sit there, waiting.
And it depends on where youre at and what youre doing.
These people pretend like we’re ALL in BfA running quests all day long and once a month we go over to outland or northrend so ONE trip here and there that takes a bit longer doesnt matter.
They may quest all day, but some of us dont. Some of us would have quit playing WoW by now if it werent for being able to hop around the different expansions all day long and farm.
Of course travel time doesnt make any difference when there are no changes to current content and thats pretty much all one does.
But when one doesnt do current content anymore and one is traveling all over the game world then those long red lights absolutely DO make a HUGE difference in how much time I spend playing vs traveling.
The use items to get around works great unless you use lots of alts. I myself have no interest in taking even more time and gold to get around on alts.
We had a system that worked and they chose to fix what is not broken.
They are using the “Brian France” business model.
