honestly if someone is the type of person to get upset and leave over an item that drops in a raid and not in [insert whatever trivial world content here the person deigns to do] I’m not sure it’s that much of a loss.

Why can’t we sell the mounts? Seems like this would be a good option as well.

As a casual myself, I have 21 protoform mounts that I can create that don’t require raid stuff. I’m going to focus on those and, at this point, I’ve got 15 or so to go. It should keep me busy for months before I even have to think about the stuff I can’t make, which is just recolors of what I will have already made/earned.
And that doesn’t factor in all the pets, which I haven’t even touched.
There will still be casuals out doing things while you’re throwing your snit because you can’t get the Edgelord McDark version of the raptora mount.

I do, every week. It’s not special.
Keep saying that with your 9-12mo patch cycle that will get progressively longer and contain less content. All the casuals and raid/m+ averse players they have chased off with their “raid or die” mentality is one of the main reasons the game is in the state it’s in now. You know as well as I do it can’t survive on the 10% hardcore raiders/+15 crowd, most of which don’t pay for their own subs with actual money anyway.

Hey now. Don’t lump me in with the rest of those yahoos. I’m totally fine with how this mount and pet crafting stuff works. I was totally fine with Korthia systems, too. Heck, my favorite part of all the casual stuff was the 9.0 outdoor tier set I got.
We’re not all spoiled brats.

How is it a superiority complex to state that doing a World Quest is not on the same level as killing a raid boss? The only exception to that rule is LFR but even a few LFR bosses pose more of a threat than a World Quest.
That’s like 15 people, probably 3 of them using 5 alts each

Let’s not make stuff up. I’m sure there are a decent amount of people who don’t raid. It’s not a problem, though.
