So now that AV is worse

Or, alliance

will switch to grinding brood of norzdomu from AQ20 for an even better ring =D

but then again… why do the smart and less stressful thing.

i mean seriously… you guys are SCREWED out of AV.

P5 brings better and easier to obtain options over almost everything AV rep can provide. kiss your AV ques, how already terrible they were, goodbye.

AV is my favorite BG, that’s why I’ve been hoping for a balance change that would incentivize alliance to queue (i.e. make it harder for horde to defend IB GY so alliance have a viable offensive strategy).

I do like this batch of changes, but without a change to the cave rezzing situation and the defense that it enables at IB GY, I just don’t see why alliance would queue.

Nothing you ever say addresses this either. Short of faction transfers (and let’s be real, even those won’t cut it), there is no way to get horde queue times down to a level where it makes sense to play a 10 minute or less race game. The queues on the other BGs are 20+ minutes most days too. Without instant queues, horde’s best HPH is a 30 minute AV. With instant queues, the Alliance best HPH is to not play AV. Serious Alliance PVPers left due to the HPH race. And only because of the HPH race. If the HPH was higher, the Alliance rankers would still be in there.

Keep preaching your BS solutions though. If anyone is still listening to you, they need to stop. You are wrong.

Aint that the truth. For a month and now gathering dust. But hey, Zyrius supported the choice of 1.12 AV, and it gave blizzard “Clarity”.

I actually think this perfectly encapsulates what is likely to happen to the BG once P5 drops.

If “most” alliance were only in AV to exploit druids for rep, good riddance. I would rather play against the ones who have the will to fight for gains, even if it means I get to “eNjOy mY 6 hOuR qUeUeS”

You know, I don’t think I’d call those epics “welfare”. You can define effort in a lot of different ways, but I feel I put in far more of it to get my lei than any other item my character is currently wearing, from any raid dungeon

You got the wrong impression.

Those Alliance sure did fool me saying that they could hold the bridge forever, but the backdoor.

You listened to the wrong people.

At least we’re getting the excuses out of the way now for why the bridge cant be held.

That’s horde making that claim not alliance. The bridge is a good choke point but it’s vastly over blown by horde how hard it is to actually cross.

Do we really need to dig back through your close to 5,000 posts, almost solely bemoaning the state of AV? Are you sure you’ve never brought up the alliance base backdoor over and over again?

Plenty of us play AV for fun. Always have, always will. Now with less exploiters it will be better

No it won’t you’ll still be stuck north of SHGY and losing almost every game.

fixed it for you

Yes, I have. But I never claimed that it was the sole reason for a loss or anything ridiculous like that.

It does distract from the bridge defense and it is good that it’s being patched but the big factor in the bridge bing less useful is the cave fallover. When SPGY is taken all those people waiting on a rez go to the cave instead of to the FA station. That means they are on the wrong side of the bridge to use it for defense.

The horde who just took SPGY can mostly walk across the bridge and use that excellent choke against the alliance.

Oh and I “bemoan” many different things. I don’t mind speaking up when I see something wrong and having a reasoned discussion about it.

Horde queues before premade nerf were shorter, were for my shaman and on my main alliance character I was seeing the same 10+ horde every other game. That means they were getting into games every 15-25 minutes.

Blizzard should just put in merc mode because that’s what’s going to happen eventually.

Queues are a deterrence to roll a wildly popular faction. Merc mode just means that the people that refilled ally will switch back. Merc mode = faction imbalance

In an ideal world where they knew server transfers were going to exist, They would have server-locked BGs, and that would have been a strong incentive for the players to faction balance servers all by themselves.

Unfortunately, Blizz decided to do the exact opposite. The current system of crass-server BGs and server transfers only incentives transferring to a server where you’re the majority. This long into the lifespan of the game, I don’t ever see them server-locking BGs though…so oh well.
