Y’all need some Red Mage.
Would literally cry tears of joy if I could play a RDM comparable class in this game.
That was my original hope for a draconic class DPS spec. I think there’s still room for it in a second DPS spec, focusing in on the physical aspects of dragons as well as the black dragonflight.
Off topic… And with this comment I have single handly ran out of likes in one topic. Thank you all for the gold and valuable opinions.
On topic Thank God
Who says that we don’t have dark rangers either
Mech tank spec = D.Va
Turret dps = Torb
gadget healing spec = Anna
That’s basically what the island expedition groups were and what I would expect from a tinker class. All three specs covered. I’ve felt like Hunter could easily be given “stances” and slots for ranged and melee weapons and the “stance” you’re in just enable which weapons you’re currently using. Spells would go off as usual with whatever weapons you’re using.
Cobra Shot → Cobra Strike. Little more freedom in whether you wanna be ranged or melee. Something like that would work fine for tinker as well.
I’ve seen a lot saying it’d be a good Rogue class skin.
I think it’d be even better if it was a wider class skin that applied to rogues, demon hunters, and warriors, maybe even hunters. Give some cosmetic armor and weapons that can be used between all those classes, and there ya go.
You’d also be able to do a regular demon hunter and wear the warden cosmetic gear to make something like Cordana Felsong.
I keep joking it’ll be for the Asian Landmass Expansion 2.0 where another anthro race is introduced, but this time they’ll be Samurai/Blademasters.
I’d like it to be a tanking spec with an optional talent you can pick similar to Gladiator for Warriors (which needs to come back with the new talent system) that enables the spec to do melee dps.
I honestly think after we get Tinker, which is pretty much the final standard fantasy D&D archetype, Blizz will stick exclusively to Hero Classes or adding 4th specs.
Blademaster could easily be a Monk spec that blends elements of windwalker with arms warrior. I think Bard could make for a great 4th Rogue spec. And Gladiator could be another great 4th spec, this time for Warriors, and last that comes to mind is Dark Ranger for Hunter, where Necromancer meets Archer in terms of gameplay. Alongside releases like that, 2-spec hero classes that accompany the theme of the new expansion seem to be the new ‘thing’ for them.
Thank you Paula Deen!
Perhaps, but I still want a full fledged Necromancer as well as Tinker. I’d like Necro more than a Tinker too, but I’ll happily play both and think both should have been added by now.
They’re both things we’ve previously encountered in WoW and now we’re getting a class that they’re just making up.
I think there should be a team dedicated to regularly adding this type of stuff and not just every few years as an expansion only type thing.
Yeah, it could.
There’s 4th specs I’d like to see, but I’d rather see the full classes listed above before that.
It’s also disappointing reading they aren’t planning to bring back Gladiator. That’d be a cool option.
I don’t think I’d make dark ranger a spec for hunter…having it more as a class skin with character customizations that you could apply to hunter and rogue, and maybe even others would be better. Maybe it could be made a spec, but it just seems weird to me.
I’m liking the idea of a Darkfallen allied race that includes both dark rangers and san’layn. That coupled with some rethemed abilities/class skins would be fantastic.
Thank god.
But you don’t need turrets for Tinkers, or a horde of demons for Demonology. You need mirror image or there’s no point behind Samuro.
Mirror image is grossly OP in a third person MMO. It isn’t as much of an issue in a MOBA where the POV is way above the battlefield. However in a MMO where your vision is limited, being surrounded by mirror image clones is visual clutter.
