So..night elves wins at darkshore?

i was browsing the missions because i literally had nothing else to do and i noticed this quest.

does that means that even with the warfront ongoing we canonically win at darkshore?

i guess that this is where that tyrande cutscene with gilneans takes place.
we can expect a similar resolution to arathi?

I was wondering where that cutscene was. Guess it’s yet to come.

But if this is the case, then yes, I’d say this would solidify the Alliance’s ownership of Darkshore - unless there’s some parallel cutscene for Horde. Best guess, I’d say that Arathi and Darkshore are going to end up back in Alliance hands, and whatever the next two Warfronts - especially if these Barrens and Silvermoon leaks are legit - they’ll be Horde victories.

yes but i am wondering why isn’t available yet, we need to assault it again? or we need to wait after the raid?

anyway, i am glad that they give a well deserved victory to our nelfs comrades, while we wait the inevitable naga deus machima to save the horde.

and i am totally fine with giving the next 2 warfronts (barrens and silvermoon probably) as victory for the horde.

or i can accept losing arathi, but maybe human fans will not be happy with that.

I’d like it if Stromgarde became Alliance territory again, but that’s just the Alliance RPer in me. I’d rather the Night Elves get their home back.

I’m willing to bet this scene is what the Alliance gets in terms of the Derek cutscene.

i don’t know about that derek cutscene being the counterpart because we still need to see the cinematics in dazarlazor with the potential to be extremely biased towards the alliance being “badass” like detonating the bombs and commence the attack or something like that. (fistbumps moments :p)

When are “The Horde Strikes Back” and “Return of the High Overlord” coming out?

Hmm…so the night elves have been losing up until now?

Weird. The Nightwreathed Egg is a pet from an elite mob in Darkshore.

I would personally like to see the Forsaken fend off the Alliance from their homeland, Lordaeron ie Brill, Silverpine, Hillsbrad, etc etc.

It’s so the Horde has access to it as well since the quest is Alliance only.

I could see a WF in WPL using the Andorhal area. Hillsbrad might be too close and too much like Arathi and Tirisfal is pretty much destroyed for now.

But that mob in question who drops it is a Forsaken dude.

I’m personally really hoping for a Silverpine front with the Gilnean wall as the center of the engagement with a tug of war between Gilneas and the Forsaken. But I also really, desperately don’t want this expansion to end with Gilneas still not being retaken.

I believe the way the Warfronts go is that the faction that attacks first is the canonical victor, though that’s just me guessing.

Since The Horde(Least on NA) attacked first for Arathi and then Alliance attacked first for Darkshore.

edit; Though that’s kinda of muddled since Nathanos says they start losing all fronts since Zandalar raid conclusion. So it might be split even from now on? Just spit balling.

Id like to see Gilneas become a legit trade city one day. Hopefully.

Horde gets it from a different rare.

Interesting.

Well, if we go based on the fact that come the end of the raid, the Alliance is supposedly winning on all fronts and the Horde is mere weeks from defeat, the Alliance canonically taking the first to Warfronts as victories would make sense.

In addition to that, supposedly in 8.2 Sylvanas is supposed to have some master stroke to even things back out again, or even tip the scales back into the Hordes favor? I believe that’s the rumor. So, if that does end up holding up, it would make sense if the Horde would canonically take the next two.

I’d honestly rather be content with the Night Elves winning Darkshore so that the two can fight between Ashenvale and The Barrens with Warsong Gulch, and the Horde winning Hillsbrad Foothills, just so things can go back to status quo of fighting over the Arathi Basin, only now it’s because it’d be smaller settlements far from the capitol that’d be the staging ground for the two, rather than the Defilers and Stromgard holdouts having at it. Without Tirisfal being accessible, it’s a clear cut one way in and one way out, a good place to shelf a warfront story and never revisit it.

At this point, I don’t even want the war story to progress. I just want it to stagnate and go back into the background of the story. Every installment is worse than the last.

I find “you may stand here beside me” funnier than I should. I bet it’s Maiev.
